Bought this car 2 weeks ago after trading in my ford focus and wouldn't fault it! Cracking car my package is the the vtr+ 1.6 hdi model cruise control etc. There amazing on diesel with a light foot average 45+ mpg round the doors never really had a long run in it yet but could be looking at 60mpg. Only thing that has stopped working is the mechanism to load cd's bit of a pain having the radio on since there is no aux standard in the vtr + overall a good car

My first... and last Citroen. I bought this car from a main Ford dealer as I needed something big enough for the family and fuel efficient as I was driving a fair way to work and back. Within 2 months, the struts that hold the boot up failed, luckily whilst the boot was down. About a year later, the bonnet started rattling. I took the vehicle to a main Citroen dealer who told me it would be £600 for a new bonnet as the catch is welded in and they can't just replace the catch. The dealer recommended that I buy one from eBay and assured me they'd secured it. The next day, I was in the middle lane of the M6 driving at 70 mph when the bonnet flew up, smashed my windscreen and obscured my view. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. The dealer initially refused to accept responsibility but as soon as I threatened legal action, they replaced the bonnet and windscreen at their cost. Aside from that, I've had other issues with the electrics, gear system and handling. At high speed on a motorway, the car will rock in the wind. Space-wise, the car is great. Loads of room for 2 kids and an adult in the back plus all our luggage. The fridge is a nice touch, though pretty pointless. The cruise-control is pretty jerky but that's probably because of the EGS (which is jerky anyway). The car feels like it's made of cheap plastic and I never got any enjoyment from driving it. I won't be sad to see it go!!

Preety gook and overall is reliable. The small engine shows when pulling off, but we've taken it round europe and it got us up and down mountains fine! Spacious enough for a family of 6, and does 44 mpg, can't complain!

Excellent family car, roomy and comfortable, well designed and a real pleasure to use with lots of helpful gadgets etc. The egs gearbox is an excellent idea, it works brilliantly about 90% of the time and keep fuel economy much much lower than full autmatic, however occasionally it changes 1st or 2nd gear too early or late.

Hopelessly unreliable. Dreadful electronic automatic gearbox that lurches around and hesitates. Plagued with engine management issues too.

Perfect in all conditions appart from snow. That could well be down to the fact that this is the first automatic car that i have owned rather than the particular model.

Had car for fourteen months and have had no problems at all. It took us on holiday to the south of france and over the alps(3400 miles) in the summer and returned a fuel consumption of 44 to the gallon for the trip. Average consumption overall is 47 per gallon. The grand piccaso is a super car.

Very underrated - compared to similar offerings from ford and vauxhall it is incredible value for money - not only to buy, but also to run. My ford ka couldn't come anywhere near the low running costs of this, much bigger and more practical car.

Overall my car is great it has loads of space, high mpg(50mpg) and it looks real good too. It has been great in the recent bad weather. I would get another one but in my next car i want higher mpg/hybrid

It has its very good points an it has its very poor points. Overall, it's a relatively good car albeit with aspects that let it down (even with highest level of trim).

It is a car that does what you would expect it to do. It is not a sports car but there again it was not built as one. Horses for courses. Extremely competent motorway cruiser. Passengers have commented that it is comfortable to travel in.

It does everything it says on the tin, a bit like a shops own brand label, you buy no frills products and thats what you get if i wanted a premium product to do the same job it would have cost thousands more !

AWFUL! I advise EVERYONE to avoid buying one of these money draining cars! Owned the car just under year and less than 50k miles the brakes, discs pads, calipers and pistons need replacing along with 2 new tyres, that's £650 work done already as the discs and pads do not come separate on these! That's fair enough, but then having the mot done, the side lights don't work, now it's the electrics! The parking sensors have gone, beam fault and the car will not unlock with the key! Worst car I have ever bought! Oh and it is rattling like someone else has stated on here, but I can not see why is rattling, nor can the garage. I hate this car! From what looked like a lovely family car, is turning into a complete nightmare that is getting me into A LOT of debt after 1 thing after another going wrong!

I cannot fault it. This is the second Picasso I've had without a single fault. My wife likes to drive automatic and I prefer manual so is perfect for us. It's spacious and comfortable but (Warning) we have become our friends favourite 'taxi' around town It's load-space is enormous enough to lay a double mattress flat! Although the radio switching off after 20 mins when my wife is shopping (and I'm not) really annoys me.

One of the best cars i have everhad is a smoth ride could drive 200 and it would be like driving around the corneri am a disabled drive and the important thing for me is comfort and reliability which this car has been its the citeron grand pisassothe only reason i am not having a nother one is because i want to what the ford galaxy like thankyou

It's very practical and versatile due to the luggage space and extra seating arrangements which was the main reason for purchasing it. I think the general build quality is poor and do not think it has been designed as a quality product with a long life expectancy.

Grande picasso is a step up from previous xsara model. Ride, equipment and finish quality all good. 7 seats a real advantage - a good car Minor citreon foibles - sequential gearbox a bit slow to change, and a nightmare in icy weather, as manual is not manual, it still drops gears!

The car was bought for ease of access as i suffer from arthritis and load carrying ability not outright performance. It has fully fulfilled the reasons why i bought it, although it is not by any stretch of the imagination a performance vehicle, it can between 30-50mph more than hold its own with most other cars. As such i am reasonably happy with it.

Drivers seat uncomfortable. Fuel consumption 38mpg - no where near quoted figures. Electronic handbrake gives lack of control when parking. Heater controls positioned out of sight and are dangerous to use. A versatile car spoilt by seat comfort and design quirks.

Ok in general as i have not regretted getting it. However niggles are :- brakes are fierce as pedal play is minimal , external trim easily knocked off, economy mode whereby radio and interior lights switch off after 5 minutes of turning off ignition and you have to restart engine to regain power which is repeated every 5 minutes. Windscreen wash is on a 5 second electronic squirt but if water is frozen fuse is blown.
