Tell us what you think about your car?
Fun to drive. Suspension a bit hard for Britain's potholed roads! Economical and sporty. Equally at home around town or on a long trip.
What's the one thing you like most about your car?
Performance.
If you could improve one thing, what would it be?
A six-speed gearbox would improve driving experience.

I chose the 595 Turismo as it has a much better spec than the standard T-Jet and bought mine with 2,500 miles on the clock (was going to buy new but found this gem). I asked a few owners before buying, one said she had owned hers for five yrs and never had a problem. Later after buying mine, I saw her again and told her mine is brilliant too! In the 18 months I have owned (and having driven 15k miles), it has NEVER missed a beat and is 100% utterly reliable. I drive it nicely and only occasionally use the Sport button, at which point all hell breaks loose! You must show restraint not to habitually thrash and abuse, and by doing that mine still feels brand new. It's important to have proper servicing with Selena Oil and change every 9k miles. The 595 has excellent performance and is fantastic fun to drive. When the time comes, I intend to get another one but a cabrio 595C version. I've owned various cars over the years but this is the best car I have owned and highly recommended.

Originally i had wanted a 500 Multijet Diesel, but when i saw my Abarth, in stunning Modena Yellow, my colour of choice, and the optional 17in Touring alloys, at a price i could not turn down, £11900 i bought it. After an initial short test drive, i was hooked, and would not have cared if the steering wheel was optional. It has an addictive personality, the sort of car one wants to take out of its garage, just for the excitement and fun that it provides. Maybe not diesel economy, but i regularly get over 45mpg, and its been totally reliable. I had the choice of five cars, all in various colours, but Ferrari paintwork on a fun little runabout, that's the colour for me.

It was either an Abarth, or a new 500 Multijet diesel. A strange decision, but when you see four brand new preregistered Abarths, being advertised for £11500, it looked tempting. Every time i saw a Fiat 500 Abarth, which is not very often, i alway's loved their aggressive looks, and wondered whether they drove as well as they looked. Arriving at the dealership, there was my car, in Ferrari Modena Yellow paintwork, and matching brake calipers, and optional Touring 17in alloy wheels. When I first saw the car, i did not really care how well it performed, I was hooked, I had to have it, but during the test drive, the performance was incredible, far quicker than i could have imagined. The colour, the way it looked, handled, and performed, and with nearly £4500 off the list price, it was an easy car to buy. Since ownership, its been faultless, and returns decent economy of just over 40mpg. Its cheap to insure, and £130 a year to tax, which is about bearable, and am I sorry I did not get the diesel version, that is history, and anyway, that car would have been nearly £2000 more expensive.

My first Abarth had a power loss failure and was replaced entirely with another new car in less than 6 months. I really wanted to get away from this brand. The second new replacement Abarth after months of engine issues eventually got a complete new engine replacement after 20 months. now 43 months later it has a major oil leak, also suspension issues as both front tyres were completely worn out on the inside. Note my car mileage is 11,800. Yes, it's a good looking car and sounds amazing, but it will always leave you feeling anxious about what else will go wrong. I have known personally another who has spent thousands of pounds with new gear box, clutch, suspension, door handle to name a few. I have receipts of all the manufacturer free warranty repairs as well as non warranty. I am really disappointed with Abarth customer service, to them it's all lip service and lack of empathy. I will not be kerping my car and will be trading it in this year. I am one of the few lucky ones to get out now before its cripples me financially. In conclusion, manufacturer has let down an iconic brand due to poor workmanship and quality materials used.

Since taking ownership of my Ferrari Yellow Abarth 595 last year, it's provided very reliable motoring, and still adds huge amounts of excitement every time it goes out on the road. The car has surpassed all my expectations about the Fiat brand, and I can thank a good friend of ours, who has owned three Fiat 500s. Insurance is very affordable, and the annual tax of £130 is acceptable. I have been more than happy with the car, and how it looks and performs, and with decent fuel economy of just over 50 mpg, there's nothing to dislike about it.

Even though the Abarth, is the tuned version of Fiats popular 500, it is just as reliable to own and run, and because of its increased performance, its brilliant fun to use on a daily basis. It's build quality is excellent, and has a particular charm all of its own.

A solid and well screwed together car with no rattles or creaks that you might expect from a budget Fiat. It is economical, fun to drive and just very useful, as with the seats down it has quite a good load space in the back. Economy is good and it is our car of choice (we have three cars) when going into cities or supermarket car parks, thanks to its nice neat size. It has a 'cool' factor you don't get with a similar German car.
What's the one thing you like most about your car?
Economy
If you could improve one thing, what would it be?
More adjustment on the steering wheel.
