I bought this car after traded in my Audi A8 with air suspension. This Q8 has similar suspension, and what a lovely ride it is! I bought the Q7 three years old with 27.000 miles and still smells inside like new car and drives just as well. There are lots of extras on the car, adaptive cruise control, active lane assist, air suspension, virtual cockpit, heated rear seats, it is really a dream car! The 3.0-litre TDi diesel feels like it will last forever. The only thing I’m missing is the 21 way adjustable seats I had in my A8.

Fantastic performance (sub 5 seconds to 60mph) with exceptional fuel economy, averaging over 41mpg compared to petrol performance cars which struggle to get 20 mpg and better fuel economy than my last Q7SE and Allroad BITDI. Very comfortable and safe vehicle which I will be very reluctant to change in the future!. The thinking person's large performance 4x4.

I had the black pack put on mine so the front grille doesn't look as ugly as it does standard. With that I cannot complain. Its reliable, stylish (head turner), fast and also luxurious inside with a decent amount of standard technology as you would expect from a £70,000 standard price car. far better than my Touareg.

Excellent vehicle and almost as fast as my Allroad BiTDI that I traded in. The air suspension is excellent making the car very comfortable and the rear wheel steer and the virtual cockpit are first class. The fuel economy is gradually improving and to date there have been no problems. I would highly recommend the Q7 to anyone.

Bought with 19 inch wheels and all the options, other than B and O hifi. Rear steer and air suspension combined with 19 inch wheels means super smooth ride and very agile around car parks. Fantastically easy to manoeuvre with great vision. Feels far smaller to drive than it has any right to be. Easier to drive than my previous Mercedes estate. Great fuel economy for such a large car. Went for larger fuel tank which means 700 mile plus range on motorways. Beautifully finished, zero problems, no squeaks or rattles. Very practical with useful 7 seat option made practical by sliding middle row. Very impressed by the super smooth responsive autobox and powerful engine. Slightly diesel rattle on take off as is normal currently with all diesels but then super quiet once moving. Brilliant head up display which works in all light conditions, great jam assist/self driving option. Love the lane assist which you can set to gently pull the car back to lane if it drifts. Incredibly reassuring once you learn how to use it. Love the pano sunroof and alcantara interior/leather dashboard option. Makes the car feel very luxurious, especially with linear walnut/nero black finish instead of aluminium. The negatives include very minor electrical glitches three or four times since owning to do with one of the soft close doors, volume control to hifi (once). All solved on next drive. I think the MMI is unintuitive, the sat nav has had one major glitch, unfortunately when entering Paris, but Apple Car play and my phone were a useful back up. (no sat nav glitches since). Not impressed with the WIFI hotspot, wifi connectivity in general. Nightmare to work out how to set up and once set up not automated on entry. Have to activate via mobile for hotspot, Wifi signal takes ages to integrate and drops every so often, which means music stops. Car firms should probably let computer companies sort out sat nav/in car entertainment. Audi 7 years behind the curve, like all car firms. Only saving grace is Apple Car play which is very good, albeit you have to plug in the phone and have a wire hanging around. Also the centre storage console is not big enough for an iphone 6 plus with cover, so not sure how the wireless charging will work with the next incarnation of iphone. Bit short sighted on Audi's part. Whilst moaning, I might add that the centre cup holders aren't expandable, so only standard coffee cups/bottles can fit, not large cups as per Mercedes cup holders, made up for by the huge door pockets that fit 2 litre water bottles. Still, could do with more space in centre console. No sun glasses holder, for driver. No toll booth ticket clip behind sun visor, (really cheapskatingly mean by Audi!!). No spare space saver tyre option. No place to store the tool kit, which rolls around the boot in a canvas wrap bag, (why?...because Audi are cheapskating again!). The rear bumper/valance has no guard plate so gets scratched when the dog jumps in or taking out suitcases. When it's raining, the windscreen wipers throw water to the edge of the screen which runs across the drivers side window impairing vision. Seats are comfortable but could be a tad softer like my old S class Mercedes. But still comfortable on long journeys with nice massage option! Overall, I liked it better than the Volvo, (though accept Volvo more family orientated). Stylish wagon I'll happily keep for 5 years. Maybe look at the new GLS in 2020 once they update it with an S class interior. The Q7 feel the most modern stylish 7 seater on the market presently and a joy to drive with very smooth powerful engine/gearbox which is never short of power in the real world. Really like the car, probably the best all rounder I have ever owned. four and a half stars.

I love this vehicle, it is the only thing that is large enough to carry my family of five and all their assorted gear around the place!
What's the one thing you like most about your car?
The build quality is excellent, and it is great fun to drive. It accelerates way quicker than something of this size has any right to.

I have always had Mercedes cars and looked around all car makes for a good SUV. I drove Range Rover, Jaguar, Mercedes and Porsche, and was a bit worried about moving away from Mercedes but boy am I pleased with this Q7. It’s amazing. Has a much better ride, is comfortable, Roomy, corners fantastically with hardly any body roll. No rattles. Well done Audi.

One of the best cars I've owned. It has a very comfy ride, is spacious, well equipped and the one I bought comes with the panoramic roof. I'm about to take it to the South of France from Scotland for 2 weeks, so I will see how it handles the 3500 mile round trip. Its only downside is fuel economy but I get a steady 32-33mpg when sitting at a steady 80mph without sports mode engaged.

This car is a dream to drive and with 4 children in the back it has enough space and onboard entertainment to keep them far enough apart from each other to not start on any shenanigans. I haven’t heard “are we nearly there yet”for quite some now.

This is basically the consummate luxury SUV. Only a discovery will be better off-road and I have found the Q7 on muddy fields and similar perfectly fine. Better space than an X5 in row 3. Issues; the detatchable tow bar is awful and rattles. For some reason the folding mirrors don't always fold and Apple CarPlay is a bit inconsistent - doesn't always sync. But for carrying 7 people, towing a trailer through 300 km of rainswept roads - nothing better

Bought 1st March. Within 2 wks, dead on the drive - relay failure. Within 8 weeks, start/stop switch seized. Rattles & squeaks. Was sold with 60psi in each tyre so drives like a cattle truck. Dealership totally uninterested - had to take it elsewhere to diagnose. Lovely looking car, ideal in theory - hopeless execution. Trying to get my money back, dealer feigning interest as time passes.
