Hot car deal: upmarket Lexus LBX for £297 a month
Our hot car deal for June 11th is for the Lexus LBX, a premium small SUV perfect for urban driving
It seems that almost every manufacturer offers a small SUV these days, but the Lexus LBX is one of very few with a premium edge. It’s the smallest model in its lineup, but that doesn’t mean it skimps on quality; you still get the full Lexus interior experience, but without the bulk of a large SUV or saloon. For some, that’ll be a winning combination, especially those who stick to urban driving or who rarely carry more than one passenger.
What’s so good about this Lexus LBX deal?
We’re fans of the Lexus LBX at Carbuyer, but its relatively high price tag can be hard to swallow when compared to its cheaper twin, the Toyota Yaris Cross. Thanks to this lease deal from UK Carline, that’s much less of an issue. With 35 monthly instalments of just £297.14, you won’t be paying much more than you would for an equivalent Toyota deal, making this deal a worthwhile upgrade for those who value the premium interior and refined driving experience of the Lexus.
The three-year deal requires a fairly large upfront payment of £3,565.69, but this can be reduced if you’d rather pay slightly more each month. There’s a mileage limit of 5,000 per year, too, but this can be extended by increasing the monthly and upfront payments if you expect to travel further.
You’ll be behind the wheel of the entry-level LBX Urban, but we don’t think that’s something to worry about – all models come with a lengthy kit list. You get 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, a digital driver’s display and a 9.8-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. If you fancy more goodies, UK Carline offers an equivalent deal for the mid-spec LBX Premium, but this comes at a premium of around £19 a month and £220 upfront.
Every LBX gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a self-charging hybrid system, lifted from Toyota Yaris Cross. It makes more power in this application, with its 134bhp delivering nippy performance around town. Fuel economy is its strong suit, however, with Lexus claiming up to 62.7mpg is achievable across a mixture of roads.
What’s so good about the Lexus LBX?
The Lexus LBX may be the dinkiest model in its lineup, but it still packs the Japanese brand’s trademark build quality and unique design in a much more city-friendly footprint. You’re unlikely to find a nicer cabin in a car of this size, with impressive tech that’s easy to use and a general sense of refinement at all speeds. Stick to around-town driving, and the LBX feels truly in its comfort zone, swapping between petrol and electric power for maximum efficiency. True, you can find a more practical small SUV with roomier rear seats and a bigger boot, but the LBX is all about the comfortable experience up front. Our only other gripe is the price – something you won’t have to worry about with this deal.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?
This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the three-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
