New Renault Scenic XMOD price and release date
The new Renault Scenic XMOD is available to order now, priced from £17,995
New Renault Scenic prices and specifications have been announced, with a new crossover XMOD version joining the five and seven-seat models in the range.
The new Scenic has been redesigned to make it look more like the rest of the Renault range, with a new front end with a large Renault badge being the most noticeable change.
The new Renault Scenic XMOD version is a labelled as a crossover, combining a number of features commonly associated with small family cars, with the more aggressive look of an SUV. It has a more rugged look than the standard Scenic, with a different front grille, new alloy wheels and a roof rack. Mud and snow tyres are standard for better winter grip and it has a new traction control system for off-road driving.
There are three modes on the system – Road, Loose ground and Expert. The first is for normal driving, and the latter two are for more demanding terrain like gravel, mud or snow. To help keep the car moving the computer adapts the wheels individually to the amount of grip they have.
The Renault Scenic XMOD comes in two specifications, Expression+ and Dynamique TomTom, while the standard Scenic is only available in the Dynamique TomTom specification. As a result, the XMOD Expression+ is available from £17,995, with Scenic and Scenic XMOD Dynamique TomTom cars starting at £19,155. The Grand Scenic is priced from £20,355 in Dynamique TomTom guise.
The Expression+ model comes with 16-inch alloy wheels and hill start assist, while the Dynamique TomTom comes with sat-nav, climate control, automatic lights and automatic windscreen wipers. The Scenic XMOD is available in a new colour, Saffron Yellow, and all versions get a new Dune colour as an option.
There are five engines available for the new Renault Scenic. Petrol options include the 1.6-litre VVT 110, the 1.2-litre TCe 115 and the 1.2-litre TCe 130. Two diesel engines, the 1.5-litre dCi 110 and the 1.6-litre dCi 130, with both offering more than 60mpg. All engines apart from the 1.6 petrol and 1.5 dCi 110 offer stop-start technology, too.
The new Renault Scenic range, including the XMOD, is available to order now.
