Suzuki Swift now priced from £8,999
The 2015 Suzuki Swift hatchback range now starts from £8,999, representing a saving of £1,800
The Suzuki Swift hatchback range has been revised for 2015, with a new lower starting price, a new engine and additional standard equipment.
The range now starts at £8,999 for the entry-level Suzuki Swift SZ2 three-door model – a reduction of £1,800.
The new 1.2-litre Dualjet engine, which is only available with the Swift’s SZ4 trim, is claimed to improve fuel consumption over the standard 1.2-litre engine by 16%. Suzuki claims it’ll return an average of 65.7mpg, while CO2 emissions drop from 116g/km to 99g/km, meaning road tax is free.
Suzuki says that choosing this new engine equates to a £150-a-year saving.
The new 1.2-litre Dualjet engine produces 93bhp – a slight increase over the 88bhp produced by the standard engine – but the gearbox has been tweaked and an automatic stop-start system is fitted, which pauses the engine when the car is stationary.
Five trim levels are available: SZ2, SZ3, SZ-L, SZ4 and the Suzuki Swift Sport hot hatchback. All models feature seven airbags and grip-enhancing electronic stability control as standard, along with a front passenger airbag deactivation switch, electric front windows, remote central locking, electric and heated door mirrors, plus an MP3-compatible CD player with a USB port.
SZ3 models add air-con, 16-inch alloy wheels, front foglamps and Bluetooth connectivity with a music streaming facility. Plus, buyers choosing a Swift SZ3 over the coming months will receive a free satellite navigation system.
Suzuki is also offering an attractive Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) deal for the first three months of 2015. SZ3 models are available with no deposit, 0% APR and 43 monthly payments of £169. A final instalment of £3,501 is payable should you wish to keep the car. A five-door model can be chosen for an additional £9 a month.
Buyers can reduce the monthly repayments to £99 by placing a £2,940 deposit.
