Skoda Kodiaq tops latest Euro NCAP crash test results
The Skoda Kodiaq and MINI Countryman Euro NCAP crash-test results are in, along with the Nissan Micra and Suzuki Swift
The latest Euro NCAP crash-test scores have been handed out, reaffirming the importance of autonomous emergency braking (AEB) in the results. The Skoda Kodiaq, MINI Countryman and Nissan Micra scored the full five stars, boosting their appeal for families, while the Suzuki Swift gets four stars as long as the latest safety technology is fitted.
Both the Nissan Micra and Suzuki Swift have been given dual ratings, with the all-new Micra achieving the full five stars when AEB and lane-keeping assistance are fitted. As these pieces of safety kit are standard in the UK, the Micra ranks amongst the safest superminis currently on sale. In some international markets where they’re not standard, the Micra’s score drops to a less impressive four stars. The Micra’s 91% score for adult occupant protection makes it incredibly tough for a supermini, second only to the Honda Jazz, which scored 93% in 2015.
