Black Edition adds subtle style to Renault Clio RS
The Clio Renaultsport hot hatchback is now available in a distinctive Black Edition
Renault has given its Clio Renaultsport line-up a sleek, individual look with an optional R.S. Black Pack for the 197bhp Renault Clio Renaultsport 200 and 217bhp Renaultsport 220 Trophy.
The new pack adds a distinctive darkened style to the sporty supermini. With features picked out in black, it can create a stealthy look if you choose a dark base colour, or will contrast strikingly against brighter hues, such as the RS exclusive colours Liquid Yellow and Pearl White.
When added to a Renaultsport 200, the Black Pack includes 17-inch Renault Sport alloy wheels in a special black finish as well as gloss-black side mouldings, front blade and rear diffuser, together with a matching tailgate moulding and badging. Renaultsport 220 cars retain their standard black-finished 18-inch Renault Sport wheels. Despite its generous contents, the Black Pack only adds £350 to the price of a new Renaultsport 200, or £200 when chosen on the more powerful 220.
Both Clio Renaultsport models use a powerful 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine and can be chosen with a number of driver-focused options – including a Cup chassis option on the 200. This includes firmed-up suspension, a lower ride height and 18-inch wheels with sticky Dunlop Sport Maxx RT tyres for extra cornering agility. The 220 has the Trophy chassis as standard, with re-tuned steering and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, and you can add a sports exhaust system.
And, to help find your way to the best driving roads in Europe, both Clio Renaultsport models have a touchscreen infotainment system with sat nav, as well as cruise control and air-conditioning for a calm, cool drive home.
Both Renault Clio Renaultsport Black Edition models are available now, priced from £20,645 on the road.
