BMW X5 Special Edition and X6 Sport Edition announced
Limited-run BMW X5 and X6 SUVs get the special edition treatment
If you’re in the market for a large SUV or SUV-coupe, you may well be interested in the BMW X5 Special Edition and X6 Sport Edition.
The BMW X5 Special Edition comes with tinted windows, a digital dashboard – known as the Multifunctional Instrument Display – and BMW’s M Sport package. This last item comprises 20-inch alloy wheels, an M Sport steering wheel, adaptive M suspension, an ‘M’ bodykit, all-round parking sensors and a more sporting setup for the automatic gearbox.
Heated Dakota leather seats come as standard, although you can choose part-leather, part-Alcantara seats as a no cost option. Softer Merino leather seats are also available, although you’ll have to pay extra if you want these. The X5 Special Edition is available to order with all models, save the powerful X5 M50d.
As with the X5 detailed above, the BMW X6 Sport Edition is available with all models save the powerful X6 M50d, and brings the M Sport package together with 20-inch alloys.
The X6 Sport Edition also gets its own exclusive Long Beach Blue paint, although you can opt for Carbon Black or Mineral White if you think the X6 will draw enough attention to itself in a more subdued hue.
Both cars will be available to order from December 2017.
