Porsche 718 T Cayman and Boxster 2018: prices, specification and on-sale date
Porsche 718 Cayman coupe and Boxster convertible get the ‘Touring’ treatment; on sale now priced from £51,145
Following on from the success of the 911 Carrera T, Porsche has released two new ‘Touring’ versions of its other sports cars – the 718 Cayman and the 718 Boxster.
The Porsche 718 T Cayman and Porsche 718 T Boxster come as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox and without an infotainment system in order to save weight.
Prices start at £51,145 for the Cayman and £53,006 for the Boxster, which place the T versions between the existing standard and S-badged versions of each. Both models are on sale now.

Both cars use the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder boxer engine with 296bhp found in the standard Cayman. When equipped with the standard six-speed manual gearbox, 0-62mph takes 4.9 seconds; the optional PDK dual-clutch automatic drops this time to 4.7 seconds.
Both will come as standard with the Sport Chrono Pack, an option usually reserved for the 718 Boxster S and 718 Cayman S. This brings three selectable driving modes (Normal, Sport and Sport Plus) that adjust the car’s responses for different driving situations, along with a rev-matching feature for manual cars and launch control on automatics. The pack also adds a lap timer clock on the top of the dash.
Each T model gets a locking differential and sports exhaust as standard, as well as active gearbox mounts and sports suspension that’s 20mm lower than the standard car’s. Both get 20-inch alloy wheels finished in grey with matching mirror caps.
Inside, the Cayman and Boxster T get a sporty makeover that includes a sports steering wheel, personalised gauges, embroidered sports seats and unique badging on the door sills and dash. The infotainment system is replaced by a storage compartment but this can be reinstalled on request.
