New special edition Jaguar XF Chequered Flag models announced

Chequered Flag editions include many of the most popular options fitted as standard

Jaguar has launched a limited-edition trim level for the XF and XF Sportbrake models. First introduced on the F-Type, the Chequered Flag editions celebrate Jaguar’s sporting history, all the way back to the launch of the XK120 over 70 years ago. While the changes don’t add anything to the driving experience of the XF, Chequered Flag cars gain some extra styling touches and lots of extra equipment.

The XF Chequered Flag edition is available to order now, with prices starting from £34,950 for the saloon and £37,390 for the Sportbrake.

The Chequered Flag XF will feature black 18-inch alloy wheels, a sporty-looking front bumper, a boot spoiler and a black styling pack. You’ll find subtle Chequered Flag badging on the side vents. Three metallic paint colours are available - Yulong White, Santorini Black and Eiger Grey - and are included in the price.

Inside, there’s an upgraded sat nav system with live traffic updates to avoid hold ups where possible. You can also find car parks and fuel stations with the system and share your time of arrival. Keyless entry and a head-up display are included, as is Jaguar’s digital driver’s display. If you don’t want to use the infotainment system, you can use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto - both are standard across the range for the first time.

Leather covers most of the interior surfaces, and you get the R-Sport seats in either black or dark red. The Dark Hex aluminium trim finisher is included, while the treadplates are unique to this model and carry the chequered flag motif.

You can have the Chequered Flag spec with most of the XF’s engine range. A 2.0-litre petrol engine is available with either 250bhp or 300bhp, with either rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. The 180bhp 2.0-litre diesel is also available with either RWD or AWD, while the 240bhp version is AWD only. You can also choose the 300bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel but only with rear-wheel-drive.
