Hyundai reveals i10 and i20 Play special editions
Play versions of the i10 and i20 offer more equipment for less money
Hyundai has launched special edition Play models of its i10 city car and i20 supermini. Both models feature a higher level of standard equipment than the existing SE trim level, offering good value next to the top-spec trim levels. When the Play models go on sale in April, the i10 Play will cost £11,195 and the i20 Play will start at £14,495.
The i10 Play costs the same as the mid-range SE model but gets a number of upgrades usually reserved for the highest trim level, including 15-inch wheels, a seven-inch touchscreen navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and rear privacy glass.

The i20 Play is priced from £14,495 and gets a similar set of upgrades, including 16-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, the same seven-inch touchscreen navigation system and rear privacy glass - all for £1,000 less than the SE model.
Both the i10 and i20 Play are available in five paint colours, including Tomato Red and Polar White as no cost options, and Champion Blue, Stardust Grey and Clean Slate metallic paints for an extra £550. All colours are complemented by gloss black mirror caps and Play badging. The i20 also gets a Phantom Black painted roof as standard.
The i10 Play is only available with a 66bhp 1.0-litre engine and a five-speed manual gearbox. The i20 Play is available with a 83bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine or a more powerful 99bhp 1.0-litre diesel engine - both come with a five-speed manual gearbox.
