2019 SsangYong Rexton ICE special edition launched
Special white paint and new alloy wheels for mid-range Rexton trim
SsangYong has launched the Rexton ICE, a special edition of its biggest SUV. The new special edition, based on the existing ELX specification, gets ‘Ice White’ pearlescent paint and a new alloy wheel design. It’s available to order now for a price of £34,995, which represents a £500 saving on the equivalent ELX model.
The Rexton ICE comes with cruise control, a 9.2-inch touchscreen with sat nav and 3D ‘around-view’ monitoring, DAB radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
The interior features quilted Nappa and black faux-leather seats, which are heated in the front and first row. The ICE model is only available with seven seats.
There’s no change in the engine department, so the ICE uses the same 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine as the rest of the Rexton range. It comes with a seven-speed Mercedes-Benz automatic gearbox as standard, and can tow caravans and large trailers of up to 3,500kg.
As standard, the Rexton ICE gets safety systems including autonomous emergency braking, high beam assist, hill descent control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and active rollover protection as standard.
