Dacia Logan MCV prices announced
Prices for the UK's cheapest estate car, the Dacia Logan MCV, have been revealed.
The Dacia Logan MCV – the UK’s cheapest new estate car – has gone on sale, with prices starting at only £6,995.
It joins the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Duster SUV in Dacia’s bargain line-up and will arrive in showrooms this July. It undercuts the UK’s current cheapest estate car – the Skoda Fabia Estate – by more than £4,000.
The Logan MCV (Maximum Capacity Vehicle) is essentially a five-seat estate version of the Sandero, and comes with an identical trim and engine line-up. This means the entry-level Access car gets 15-inch steel wheels, four airbags and the basic 74bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine.
Upgrade to the Ambiance model for just £600 and you get a radio/CD player, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, remote central locking and electric front windows.
Top-spec Laureate cars start at £8,995 and get air-con, electric mirrors, cruise control, front fog lights and electric windows all round. Dacia expects the Laureate to be the biggest-selling model in the UK.
Not only does the Logan MCV benefit from bargain list prices, its optional extras are good value, too. On top-spec cars, you can select a touchscreen sat-nav and parking sensors for £250 each, while leather upholstery will set you back £600. Metallic paint and 15-inch alloys can be specified on Ambiance and Laureate models for £495 and £425 respectively.
Although the entry-level Access MCV is only available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine, the Ambiance and Laureate models can be specified with an 89bhp three-cylinder petrol or an 89bhp four-cylinder diesel. Economy and emissions are expected to match the Sandero hatchback, meaning 74.3mpg and just 99g/km CO2 emissions for the efficient diesel.
All cars will come with Dacia’s three-year, 60,000-mile warranty, extendable to seven years and 100,000 miles for just £850. The Logan MCV is available to order now, with first deliveries in July.
