Audi A6 Allroad
The new Audi A6 Allroad 4x4 is now more efficient and features air-suspension as standard.
The third generation Audi A6 Avant Allroad quattro goes on sale in the UK in February, with prices starting from £43,145. First deliveries are scheduled to arrive in the spring.
Audi's rugged A6 Allroad estate is available with three engines: a 3.0 TFSI petrol with 310bhp and two 3.0 TDI diesels with 204bhp and 245bhp. Fuel consumption figures are up to 20 per cent lower than its predecessor. The entry level model is capable of 46.3mpg and produces 159g/km of CO2.
All models come as standard with permanent quattro four wheel drive and adaptive air-suspension with four different ride height settings. Thanks to the use of aluminium in its construction the latest A6 Allroad is 70kg lighter than the previous model.
On the outside, roof bars, extended side sills and flared wheelarches are painted in a contrasting colour, but the latter can be body-coloured as part of the optional aluminium exterior package. Stainless steel guards also protect the underbody at the front and rear.
With the rear seats folded, the new Audi A6 Allroad boasts a total luggage capacity of 1,680 litres, plus a rail system for dividing and securing loads.
Optional extras such as lane assist, night vision, park assist, voice-controlled sat-nav, head-up display and massage function seats are available. Owners can also choose from several very hi-tech features including radar-controlled cruise control - a system that keeps the A6 Allroad the correct distance from the car in front.
Finally, Audi's Drive Select system allows drivers to adjust steering, suspension, throttle, transmission, air conditioning, lighting and cruise control settings.
