Bentley’s new performance flagship will be unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show on 29 August.
The Continental GT Speed will be powered by Bentley’s massive 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine, producing 616bhp. The all-wheel-drive car will do 0-60 in four seconds and has a top speed of 205mph. It comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox coupled with Bentley’s engine management software.
The Speed will also be equipped with an energy recuperation system that should deliver a 12 per cent improvement across economy and emissions. That means 19.5mpg and 338g/km, respectively.
Electronic stability and continuous damping controls aim to offset the firmer, upgraded suspension to keep the ride as comfortable as previous Bentleys. ABS, electronic brake force distribution, hydraulic brake assistance, drag torque control and aquaplane detection are all fitted as standard. The all-wheel-drive system will have the same 60 percent rear-wheel bias introduced on the Continental Supersports.
