Ford Focus Zetec S introduced
Ford Focus Zetec S is Ford's sportiest new Focus model yet and marks UK debut for 180bhp EcoBoost engine.
Before the 250bhp Ford Focus ST arrives in 2012 the sportiest Focus available in the UK is the new Zetec S.
Priced from £18,745 on the road - the same as a Titanium model, the Zetec S trim includes new body styling, 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, rear LED tail lights and sports pedals.
Available now as a five-door hatchback, the Ford Focus Zetec S estate will follow in February 2012. Both models come with a choice of engines including a range-topping 1.6-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine that produces 180bhp. Capable 0f 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds, the most powerful Zetec S version emits 139g/km of CO2.
Other engines include the 1.6 and 2.0 diesels, plus one other 125bhp 1.6-litre petrol. All models can be specified with either a manual or optional PowerShift automatic gearboxes.
A Ford spokesperson commented, "Zetec S models have always been popular with UK customers and so we are delighted to welcome our new Focus Zetec S to the range. With sporty exterior body styling and impressive performance and economy, this latest addition is set to be another showroom hit."
Additional options include cruise control, Active Speed Limiter, part leather and heated front seats.
