Basic model is just that but you get what you pay for. Reliable and relatively cheap to run. Maintainance fairly easy to do yourself.

It's a danger on roundabouts when there is fast moving traffic, plus get a bit of weight in it and you have a deathtrap. The dealers are rubbish over two years ago i asked for a replacement key and the mothers still havn't got it. Plus the side door fell off whilst driving and they wouldn't admit it was their fault the funny thing was it was empty at the time. So nothing was on the door to cause it to drop off. I do not trust renault one bit and if i had my way i would burn down their facory and install skoda engineers.

Being a 'van' derivative the only improvement would be more comfortable seats. The problem was a new battery, which i fitted myself.

Most suitable car for my needs, which are, ease of getting in and out (handles in good positions and good height of seating) ease of fitting wheelchair in, auto gearbox, power steering and electrically adjustable door mirrors. Only 2 faults since new, alarm fault, rectified under warranty and gearbox hydraulic controller, replaced under warranty. Only other work needed has been wear and tear related, starter motor replaced, drive shaft gaiter needed refitting. I've been very pleased with this car and wouldn't hesitate having another.

Fantastic. Everyone should be made to own a kangoo for a month and then they would be converts. Get over your preconceptions that it is a van. It is superbly comfortable, great to drive, so much space. What a pity they (renault) updated it. The once feisty 1.5 dci 86bhp engine is hopeless in the new larger heavier version. Go buy a grand modus?

An extremely practical and overall very reliable car. The only real problem in nearly ten years of ownership has been a nagging starting fault caused by a faulty tdc sensor, immobiliser, keys and/or a small relay. Renault customer services and the local dealer proved to be helpful even out of warranty. The car has been a great family workhorse and it will be difficult to replace. Current petrol models are too expensive to run , so i'll have to find another make/model.

Fantastically versatile. Able to carry heavy loads with seats easy to pack away and put up. Great for family transport also. Would not be comfy for long journeys with passengers. Would certainly buy same again but with 4 wheel drive

Although not the best handler in slippery conditions, i chose this van for picnicking, camping and very occasional load-carrying. With the addition of myremovable home-made (& upholstered) furniture, i even prefer it to a professionally converted camper-van due to its versatility. My sights had been set on a variety of vehicles in my kangoo's class and 'sl08 tln' came along at the right price for its condition. 'a very affordable, manageable vehicle to keep.
