Suzuki’s new 10-year warranty is free – here’s how to get it

Free service-linked warranty now stretches to 10 years across all models – with class-leading EV battery cover for upcoming e-Vitara

Suzuki e-Vitara
  • Up to 10-year warranty
  • Activated after three years with each Suzuki service
  • 10-year battery warranty for EVs

Suzuki is extending its warranty support for customers across the UK and Ireland. From May 1st, every new Suzuki that reaches the end of its standard three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty can qualify for a free Service Activated Warranty (SAW), valid up to the car’s tenth birthday or 100,000 miles – whichever comes first.

This expanded warranty package builds on Suzuki’s existing seven-year cover introduced in 2023, and applies to any Suzuki vehicle maintained within the brand’s authorised dealer network. As long as the car receives scheduled servicing at a Suzuki garage, it qualifies for a fresh 12-month warranty renewal – simple as that. Importantly, this free extended cover isn’t just for new buyers. SAW can also be activated on privately-bought used Suzukis or cars with incomplete service histories, provided they’re brought back into the dealer network for scheduled maintenance.

What about Suzuki’s upcoming EVs?

Suzuki is also setting the bar high for customers buying one of its EVs. Ahead of the Autumn launch of its first full EV, the e-Vitara, the company is promising an industry-best 10-year warranty for the electric SUV’s battery. That’s two years longer than that of most rivals. The new battery cover, combined with the wider 10-year Service Activated Warranty, aims to give e-Vitara buyers exceptional peace of mind.

Customer satisfaction remains a top priority

Suzuki is positioning itself as the go-to brand for worry-free motoring. Known for its strong reliability record and no-nonsense cars, the firm has regularly topped independent satisfaction surveys in recent years. It’s been named the UK’s number one automotive brand in the bi-annual UK Customer Satisfaction Index an impressive eight times since 2019.

Denis Houston, Suzuki GB’s Director of Aftersales, said the move was about building lasting trust: “At Suzuki, customer experience and retention are paramount. Offering Service Activated Warranty free of charge is something we are very proud to do, the extension of Service Activated Warranty will certainly enhance this for the future, ensuring our customers get the best levels of service.”

Warranty perks at a glance

  • Free Service Activated Warranty kicks in after three years/60,000 miles
  • Renewable with every scheduled dealer service, up to 10 years/100,000 miles
  • Covers major components and is transferable if the car is sold
  • Applies to Suzuki cars bought privately or with gaps in service history
  • 10-year EV battery warranty offered with the new e-Vitara, arriving Autumn 2025
