Vauxhall Corsa Electric price slashed by £5,550 with new Yes Edition
New low price for the Corsa Electric plus a year’s free charging at Tesco for new Vauxhall customers
- £26,895 starting price
- 50kWh battery with 221-mile range
- Orders open on April 17th
Vauxhall has revealed a new budget-focused trim level for the Vauxhall Corsa Electric, undercutting the current entry-level model by a significant £5,550. The Corsa Yes Edition will cost from £26,895, making it one of the most affordable electric cars in the UK when it goes on sale later this year.
What do I need to know about the Vauxhall Corsa Yes Edition?
Other than the headline-grabbing starting price, the Corsa Yes Edition stands apart from the rest of the range with black exterior styling accents and a set of black 16-inch alloy wheels. A new ‘Record Red’ paint colour has been added to the palette to match the red accents on the front seats, too.
Powering the Corsa Electric Yes Edition is the old 50kWh battery and 134bhp electric motor combination found in the outgoing entry-level model. Its range of 221 miles can’t quite match the newer 51kWh battery and motor setup used in higher-spec cars, but it should be enough to satisfy drivers who mainly stick to around-town driving.
Buyers won’t miss out on interior tech, however – the Yes Edition comes equipped with a 10-inch infotainment screen, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a seven-inch driver’s display. There are automatic lights and wipers, keyless entry, LED headlights, rear parking sensors plus several driver safety and assistance systems.
Purchase a Corsa Electric Yes Edition and Vauxhall will throw in a year’s free charging at any Tesco charging station, too – a perk it recently rolled out across its entire range of EVs.
The £26,895 starting price will make the Corsa Electric one of the cheapest new EVs you can buy in the UK when it goes on sale on April 17th exclusively through Vauxhall’s website.
