Bought this car has previous Zafira for7 years no major problems. Noted that boot space is limited when all 7 seats are up but didn't use 7 seats so had large boot. Used car for carrying numerous items, even a cement mixer. Would recommend.

Reliable, solid, does what it was purchased for. Repairs to suspension on three occasions, damage likely caused by humps / potholes and the last case sand ingression from getting stuck in dunes. Not the best handling car in heavy snow and ice either, but then the reccommendations were essential travel only. Three sets of headlamp bulbs required from new, other than that about five other bulbs. Internal power plugs suffered failure after break in allowed rainstorm into vehicle in first year (repaired), dead locks made life for opportunist thief difficult, broke glovebox open, stole free resussitation mask! Noticeably heavier usage of oil than previous vehicles owned, though not excessive. Vision forward side areas rather restricted, you can hide a car from your vision in the right circumstances, let alone a bike or pedestrian. Radio CD player failed last year. Fuse for wash wipe & rear door solenoid fails a lot, put larger fuse in, all functioned fine since. Air conditioning failed after 6 years requiring new pump and recharge. Paintwork on bumper always facing sunside blistered after 5 years, redone. Tyres a bit more expensive than I was used to, not excessive use just more expensive mid range. Windscreen replaced once due to grit strike. Gear stick leather very worn, otherwise little wear and tear to show internally. Bodywork has seen no work other than break in repairs and aformentioned bumper touch up, has a few door strike marks from careless third parties but otherwise also little wear and tear. Has just suffered all forward lamps failing after 2" of snow melt over it - necessitating its first ride home on a recovery truck due to time and location failure was discovered, will be interested to find out why.

Excellent car great for driving whole family about in, auto gearbox is really good if you are in traffic. Sports mode is useful if you are in a hilly area or fully loaded comfortable on long journeys a great car only done 55k miles and still drives as brand new. Would recommend this type of car to anyone with a family or dogs or need space for luggage .

Well.... It's a brilliant car but with one minor fault. The thing that you lift up has broke off because of Vauxhall's clumsy design

Very reliable, excellent space wise. If only the gearbox could be varied between fully loaded and not so fully loaded to get better ratios. And a bit more padding in the seat for the driver's behind would help on longer journeys.

It has one of those electric gearboxes,no clutch 5 auto move gear stick to the right and you get 5 manual. the auto is to clever will only change up from 3rd to 4th if it feel like it. when undertaking lateral parking, its nerve racking as after reversing it give a clonk when you select forward. also have to go lightly on the gas, a slow push down as it will shoot forward, been tested by the garage many times, this is when it becomes human, will only play up when you forget what it will do. daughter terms it as dangerious qwont drive it. Good>

This is my second zafira and it is a practical, flexible car that gives good performance and is a pleasure to drive it has given me excellent service.My Only complaint is of a squeek from the right rear that the garage has failed to resolve over many visits.

The most unreliable vauxhall i've ever had, although i've done more mileage in this than any other. Gearbox fault took 5 visits to fix before it finally failed on the motorway.

Its a great car does everything i ask of it but after two years the seats became progressively less comfortable but its still a good car . i wouldnt buy a new one as the shape changed making it much more bulky ( i drove one for a fortnight after an idiot hit me and hated it ) the old shape is a much better car and the 2.0 ltr diesel is better than the new 1.9

Having had a fairly early and tired model previously, we upgraded to a newer version, obviously funds dictate which one! We opted for an automatic version, some 5 years newer, and only 40,000 miles for a 5 year old car! We are pleased with the all round ability, but the spec from the old to the new has varied a little, but not on the thing we thought. The fuel bills have stayed about the same, the car tax has gone up, as the tax has changed to co2 content, but for the same engine size, i would like a center arm rest on an automatic mpv, i would like a bit more omphh for overtaking, i would like a device to cover the boot with the rear seats in the 'up' position, i would likeslightly better visabilty from the blind spots in the front to side glass?? Overall its a good car, but i would like visability better, and a load cover for half the boot!!

Great car to drive considering it was bought with the purpose of driving our 4 children around. A lack of luggage/shopping space is the only real issue, but what car doesn't have the same problem with 4 children to fit in?

Apart from the differential 'exploding' in a retail park in september 2008, it has been generally good. Vauxhall's lack of support with the repair we needed wasn't helpful; their price was £2000 and we got a s/h diff & the other necessary parts for £800. No discount or allowance from vauxhall whatever! We are unlikely to buy another vauxhall, as a result.
