Hot car deal: all-electric Mazda MX-30 from just £199 per month

The Mazda MX-30 is our hot car deal for April 18th, with 0% APR, a £6,000 deposit contribution and monthly payments from just £199

The Mazda MX-30 is a small electric SUV that features a sharp design, impressive interior and top-class levels of safety. Its rear-hinged doors are a bit of a party-piece and create a pillarless cabin, helping the MX-30 stand out from other small EVs, while its use of eco-friendly materials – such as the cork used on the centre console – reminds you of the car’s green credentials. The main drawback is the MX-30’s limited range, but as a stylish, fun-to-drive city car, or perhaps a second family runabout it makes more sense.

What’s so good about this Mazda MX-30 deal?

This 0% APR deal comes straight from the manufacturer and is part of a series of PCP finance offers applied across the MX-30 range. It lets you cover up to 6,000 miles a year with a customer deposit of £4,677.00 required upfront (for the Prime Line model), followed by 46 monthly payments of £199. And, Mazda is even offering a £6,000 deposit contribution with the four-year deal, along with a free Pod Point home charger.

After the agreement ends you can choose to either return the car, pay the optional final payment of £7,965.00, or enter into a part-exchange – so there’s plenty of flexibility.

The Prime Line specification includes 18-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, cruise control, climate control, a head-up display and a 8.8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Despite a relatively small 35.5kWh battery and a single electric motor driving the front wheels, the MX-30 generates a healthy 143bhp for a 0-62mph time of 9.7 seconds. Overall range on the combined cycle is a little disappointing at 124 miles, but the MX-30 is most suited to town and city driving, and here the quoted WLTP range is 165 miles.

What’s so good about the Mazda MX-30?

The MX-30 remains true to many of Mazda’s key values, with its striking styling, impressive interior quality and engaging handling. Yes, it’s a touch quirky compared to other small SUVs such as the Hyundai Kona Electric or Vauxhall Mokka Electric, but if the MX-30 suits your individual lifestyle, then it’s a fun option to explore.
