Nissan Juke Enigma special edition launches
New Juke Enigma has 19-inch alloy wheels and Amazon Alexa compatibility
- Vehicle functions can be monitored from your phone or an Alexa device
- Available this month
- Priced from £23,195
A new special-edition Nissan Juke Enigma model has been launched. It marks the introduction of Amazon Alexa compatibility into the Juke range, and boasts unique styling upgrades. With a starting price of £23,195, the Juke Enigma is £500 less than the high-spec Tekna trim.
Like the Tekna, the Enigma sits on 19-inch alloy wheels but they’re black for the special edition. The Enigma is also marked out by an intricate geometric design along the roof line and on the door mirrors. There are exclusive badges where the roof meets the bodywork and low down on the centre console. The car can be specced in three paint colours: black, metallic grey and pearl white.
Once you’ve added the Nissan Skill in the Alexa app and paired it to your NissanConnect account, you can use an Alexa device at home to find out where the car is parked, if it’s locked and how much fuel is in it, plus you can send sat nav guidance straight to the car’s infotainment system.
If your phone is close to hand, you can also control these functions through Nissan’s app.
The Enigma is likely to be based on the N-Connecta trim, which starts at £1,000 less. This model gets sat nav with live traffic updates, a seven-inch digital instrument screen, climate control and keyless entry and start.
What does it mean for car buyers?
The Juke Enigma will appeal to buyers who want a monochrome look, and the patterned detailing should make it stand out. We like the exterior decoration, and the Alexa compatibility will be a useful feature for some owners, but many buyers will be happy enough with the mid-range N-Connecta trim.
