Seeing reviews saying one of the 'pros' of this vehicle is the electric range is 24 miles is making me laugh! This was a reason we took the vehicle as the salesman told us this too, and thinking I've only got 7 miles to get to work I'd get to and from work for 2 days on a charge. Nope! I'm lucky to get 12 miles and in all honesty, it is probably more like 9 to 10 miles if you have just your lights on never mind air to clear the windows or the rear window heater. I feel slightly conned with that and a bit peeved that the petrol tank is so small that when you inevitably run out of battery charge. You have to fill that tiny petrol tank much more often than you expect. The pros on this for me are that it looks good and is very comfortable to drive, my husband likes how quickly it takes off and drives in Sport mode, but doing that definitely sucks the power/petrol pronto.

If you could improve one thing, what would it be?

There's too many to mention! Better electric range, bigger petrol tank, heated mirrors, better heating on seats....

Same underpinnings as the MINI Countryman PHEV. Very good in traffic around town as electric at low speed is very smooth and progressive. Short all-electric journeys are very economical but when battery is exhausted, on long journeys the weight of motors and battery works against economy. Very poor availability of public charging points & confusing variety of suppliers not helpful. Car is comfortable & practical, quite quick if you want it to be. Infotainment system is not the best; wife's new Golf is much better!
