  • PCP deal for the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV
  • £4,000 deposit contribution plus extra discount
  • 0% APR and customer deposit of just £389

Most savvy shoppers will know that there are plenty of great post-Christmas bargains floating around in January, but this PCP deal for the BYD Atto 3 is one of the best we’ve spotted. In fact, with a hefty deposit contribution from BYD, 0% APR, low monthly payments and an additional discount, it could be one of the most affordable ways to pick up a brand new electric mid-size SUV.

The BYD Atto 3 is already a relatively affordable EV, with prices starting from £37,695 for the entry-level ‘Comfort’ version. But thanks to this PCP deal from BYD, you can pick up exactly the same model for a total of just £31,810, including the initial deposit, all 48 monthly payments and the optional final payment. That’s a saving of over £5,800, or the equivalent of 15% off.

What are the details of the deal?

This is a PCP finance deal, so the cost of the car is spread over multiple years through monthly installments, plus an initial payment and an optional final payment to keep the car.

The initial payment for this deal is just £389, thanks to a £4,000 contribution from BYD. The following monthly payments are also £389, lasting for 48 months. At the end of the agreement, there’s an optional payment of £12,829.50 to keep the car, or you can hand it back to BYD and pay nothing.

Those with their calculators to hand will notice that those figures don’t add up to the Atto 3’s list price of £37,695. That’s because BYD has thrown in an extra £1,804.50 discount on top of the £4,000 deposit contribution, totalling over £5,800 worth of savings. Oh, and it’s a 0% APR deal, too, so you won’t have to pay any interest over the four years.

We reckon that’s a bit of a steal. BYD is offering a similar deal for the Atto 3 ‘Design’ too, which gets more kit, including a larger infotainment touchscreen, a powered tailgate and folding door mirrors. The initial and monthly payments for this model stand at £409, and with all the discounts taken into account, you’ll be saving over £6,100 off the list price.

What is the BYD Atto 3?

The BYD Atto 3 is an electric family SUV, similar in size to a Nissan Qashqai or BMW X1. It was BYD’s first car to be sold in the UK, setting the benchmark for a brand that’s quickly becoming a key player in Europe’s EV market.

When we tested it in 2023, it impressed us with its decent range, spacious cabin and long list of standard equipment. Its 61kWh battery will deliver up to 260 miles of range, which isn’t groundbreaking by 2025 standards, but it’s more than respectable for the price in this deal.
