We have owned car for five years we have not hadany trouble or major repair bills. we have replaced tyres and serviced it every year by main dealer. we are very happy with performance to date

The car has a big interior with plenty of room, but the footprint of the car is no larger than your average big family car. The ride height give you an avantage over smaller cars in that you can see potential problems ahead and take the appropriate action. The rear seating is flexible. The fuel efficency is good for a 2 litre turbo diesel at 40-44mpg (urban).

This is the third time i have bought a citroen xsara picasso brand new. The only reason i would not replace it next time with the same is that i would like a wee change. Other than that it has been a great family car and handles well in the snow. The only complaint would be that although it has powered steering, its not the best, but on the whole i'm pleased with it.

I love the car except for the constant steaming up of the windows. I have checked ther is no access water within the vehicle. I find some of the dials etc difficult to get - bit technical for me. Also the radio is very poor. I do love my car and so enjoy driving it.

I love it, it drives very well and has a nice engine. However, the gearing is too low and it it is uneconomical. It has also had some niggly faults.

Very practical car, but for a young family the lack of locking electric windows in the rear of the car is pointless. I would express great annoyance that main dealers now use dual mass or floating fly wheels in their cars knowing that they will not last and are expensive to replace!!!

It has been a really good car, it gets used for all long distance trips the family need to make and is used as school and work commuter. It has done everything we have expected it of it and is still going strong.

Its ok for a ppoor maans mpv. however i fail to understand why a newer model does significantly poorer mpg than my 9 year old same model and spec which had done 150k. it does what it says on the tin....generally average eeverything, for an averagish price tag.

This is my wifes car as i use a motorbike for work and only drive it at the weekend for our outings etc, it dose everything it says on the tin, it is good on fuel if a bit poor on lift but keep it nailed and it will get there in the end 3rd gear torque is quite good.i can put my sons dirt bike in the boot and mine on the bike rack on the tow bar and it just keeps on pulling and has never let us down, i service it every year it has 600000 on the clock and has never used oil.

Inherited from wife and hated it after haviong a company bmw530d but have grown to love it, especially as it is extremely low cost and reliable but with adequate performance and comfort.

Great for me as i suffer from chronic back trouble and find it easy to get into, being an automatic is very helpful as is having all the controls on the steering pod.

Overall i'm very pleased with the car, its very practical, economical, its faults are quality of inside trim, flaking of paint on trim etc, mechanicaly its very good, and cost of replacement parts are very reasonable, would i buy another one, probably not, its getting dated, having said that i bought a c4 picasso, i loved it my wife hated the handbrake, hence to keep "her indoors" happy i changed it for an older version of the picasso, i know i'm too soft.

The old model citroen picasso that i have owned and driven for 9 years has two sides to it: 1. It's not especially head turning or a thrill to drive. It's a standard (could be boring) family car that will never burn up the roads But 2. It is superbly practical for a family. It is cheap to run, cheap to insure and cheap to live with. It's reasonably comfortable and easy to drive. Also, apart from the usual tyres, exhaust, brakes, servicing, i've never ever had a problem with it. It has never cost me a penny more than the usual bills in 9 years of motoring The car looks quite dated now but the new models look fresh and good. It has been a hard working, practical motor that was perfect for a young and growing family. To sum up: you're never going to be ultra cool or posing in this car, but you will be quite smug as long as you are not a badge or fashion snob.

Very nice to drive. Nice high driving position. Easy to get in and out of. Ideal if anyone has a disability. All controls are easy to reach and simple to operate. Enormous space and carrying capacity. Cannot fault.

Cheap to buy (especially sh because there are so many around) and run, easy to drive and tardis-like it's a significant improvement over the fiat punto i traded in (it's more spacious, quieter, faster and uses less fuel, possibly it's less fun to chuck about on twisty roads but who buys an mpv for that?) It's a very easy car to live with: more recent models have more style and/or are better to drive but none of them seem to combine practicality with low costs which is why the xsara picasso sold so well. The only really major design flaw is the total absence of a single useful cup-holder - in an mpv this is unforgivable!

Very underestimated car: reliable, comfortable and quick. There's loads of room and you can take out the rear seat 10 in seconds to leave a big space. Drives beautifully and highly recommend.

Reliable, economical, practical - good for carrying the grandchildren around. Not the greatest ride quality but acceptable and reasonably comfortable overall. Have been very satisfied with the vehicle in the seven years i have owned it. Servicing done by local garage. Will buy a c4 picasso as a replacement.

If i had known how quick the battery runs down when not being used (as little as 15 days) or the fact that you need to undo 3 torx bolts to get at the battery under the passenger seat then i would not have bought it! Essentially the battery problem has not been fixed - it seems to be a feature of the car!!!!!
