Hot car deal: Nissan Juke for £161 per month – a frugal, family friendly small SUV
Popular Nissan Juke offers stylish, low cost family transport for just £161 per month
The small SUV market is a crowded, competitive place, filled with rivals that each offer a slightly different take on the best combination of style, practicality, comfort and driving enjoyment.
It’s fair to say that the Nissan Juke was a real pioneer of the small SUV class; launched back in 2010, it attracted buyers in droves – stealing sales from more boring hatchbacks and MPVs with its quirky styling and elevated ride height.
Time has caught up with the Juke a little, but it’s still a fine urban runabout. Recently facelifted, Nissan’s smallest SUV offering benefitted from a refresh of the cabin and updated onboard technology, as well as other styling revisions. This, combined with appealing low monthly payments, is what really stood out to us in this two-year personal leasing deal from Carwow. A relatively small deposit of £1,741.11 and monthly payments of just £160.79 will be particularly attractive to family buyers looking to stick to a fixed budget.
Offered in entry Acenta Premium specification, the Juke model in this offer still includes a lot of standard equipment, including 17-inch alloys, LED headlights, a rear view camera, cruise control, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen display with DAB, Bluetooth, voice recognition and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Nissan claims the second-generation Juke was specifically tuned for UK roads and, while it’s not as fun to drive as a Ford Puma, it offers good levels of grip and impressive body control. Power for this car comes from a 1.0-litre turbocharged, three-cylinder petrol engine, producing 112bhp via a six-speed manual gearbox. A 0-62mph time of 10.7 seconds won’t set pulses racing, but average fuel economy of up to 48.7mpg means that day-to-day running costs shouldn't be too costly.
This generation of Nissan Juke was introduced in 2019, and is bigger than the car it replaced, so carrying adult passengers in the rear seats shouldn’t be too much of a squeeze, while the 420-litre boot is a decent size – especially when you consider the ubiquitous VW Golf family hatchback offers just 381 litres of load capacity.
