Ford Focus RS hatchback (2016-2018) - Practicality & boot space
The Ford Focus RS is only available as a five-door hatchback but the boot is small
Ford Focus RS interior space & storage
Despite the aggressive, uncompromising look of the Focus RS, it's still a usable five-door family hatchback at heart. Just like the standard Focus, the RS doesn't offer as much storage or interior space as some of its rivals, but there aren't many cars out there that deliver the same performance and practicality in one go.
Boot space
The main compromise you'll make when buying a Focus RS, running costs aside, is boot space. We marked the standard Focus down for its relatively small 316 litres, but that goes down to 260 litres in the RS thanks to elements of the four-wheel-drive system and chassis taking up room. If you compare that to the 380-litre boot in the Audi RS3, you begin to realise how much space you're sacrificing.
