I chose my Vignale in gorgeous Ruby Red, with panoramic roof and cream leather seats. It has a great radio and a so-so sat nav (better than my previous Merc though). I like the speed limit reminder. Since I got the car at six months old with 4000 miles on the clock at a £10k discount it is the bargain of my motoring life. I just love this car. Quiet, spacious, responsive, great headlights, reliable and with servicing cost half that of a similarly-sized Mercedes. It rides over our third-world roads better than German cars and it comes with a spacesaver spare wheel, not a tin of useless shaving foam.

My third Mondeo. The new 1.5 petrol engine feels just as powerful as the old 2 litre, with noticeably better economy. The car is quiet and comfortable, the ride is good, but the steering lacks feel compared to previous Fords. The audio and phone connectivity is good. Shame the electric seat adjustment is no longer standard on Titanium. Optional rear view camera is excellent and worth spending on. Compared to previous Mondeos, there are several niggles where it seems Ford have opted for style over practicality. The buttons for heater controls are too small and cluttered. After a year I still struggle to decipher which is the heated front screen, heated rear screen and blower demist. The main light switch is hidden from view by the steering wheel and now a circular disc rather than chunky knob, so not easy to tell by feel what setting you have the lights on. Fog lights are now tiny buttons below the main light switch, rather than operated by pulling the main switch towards you - again not easy to find. Volume control for the radio are small buttons on the steering wheel rather than on a stalk - again not easy to find by touch. Finally, when the car is fully loaded and sitting slightly low at the back, the view behind is severely foreshortened by the low roofline, and you have to use the wing mirrors to see behind. Despite these gripes, it's still a good car but it could have been better if Ford had thought more of daily practicality.

This car is fantastic value for money. It's just as good as the Jaguar XF and the BMW 5 Series, and much less expensive. You soon get used to the electronic steering and the drive is great. The 240ps version is dead fast too .

Good car awful service and electrics. Nice to drive well equiped but spent too much time in the garage for a new car.

Having had a 2009 Titanium X Mondeo estate, it was a fairly easy decision to go back to the latest version. A very handsome car with plenty of presence and definitely a great looking package in Titanium X form with its 19 inch wheels, tinted windows, bodykit and deep impact metallic blue paint work. Made a variety of journeys including motorway and countryside and everything in between. Definitely more suited to munching motorway miles with ease; it is still dynamic enough to make me smile on a twister road but certainly a bit more numb than my old 2009 version. Only had one issue so far which was a poorly fitted oil filter at its service which left some oily puddles but was quickly rectified and nothing else since. Family has had a number of Mondeos and this one has done nothing to change the likelihood of more in the future. I genuinely love this car.

Got this Mondeo Estate as a new company car. It's lovely looking in ruby red, and can really move. It handles well and very good for long journeys. The panoramic roof is great. Although, compared to my previous Skoda Octavia, the mpg is terrible. It also has less leg room but it is wider.

My initial impression of the car was how much bigger it was compared to my Ford Focus Estate, but it was something I got used to quickly. The performance is also pretty much the same but as my 182bhp Focus but delivered in a different way. The six speed dual clutch gearbox is smooth and refined for normal driving but sport mode with the additional paddle gear change certainly gives it a sharper response. This car also has the optional sports suspension, there is barely any perceptible body roll yet even on some poorly surfaced roads delivers a quiet and comfortable ride. 10 way adjustable seats and an electric steering adjustment makes it easy to find a comfortable driving position for my 6'2" frame. The cabin quality is excellent with the optional all leather seats. The Sony entertainment system is easy to use and it has Apple and Android car play. The adaptive LED lights make it a pleasure to drive at night especially compared to the HID's on the Focus which were bright but had had an abrupt light beam cut off that made country roads more difficult to negotiate. The optional park assist is well worth the extra spend as well as the optional reversing camera. Without these reverse parking could become and ordeal because with the size of the car it is difficult to judge where the corners are. What I do miss is the roarty sound of my old Focus even of it was synthesised, this Mondeo is so quiet under acceleration you might find yourself well over the speed limit without realising it. On the plus side, my children are no longer complaining about the lack of legroom. I'd like to have seen a feature whereby I could switch off the auto stop start permanently. On this automatic dual clutch there are times when I have approached a junction and stopped for a split second but want to get going quickly and the engine stops. Of course once the accelerator is pressed it starts up quickly, but there is a delay. All in all over the last few months I have been impressed.

A great looking, superb estate car with excellent road manners and performance with 178bhp TDCi diesel engine with manual gearbox. It's spacious, comfortably seating 5 tall adults with a generous boot that' more than large enough, especially when rear seats folded flat to the boot floor. Mine is ruby red with 19” alloys and I've had many compliments from friends and strangers who’ve asked me about the car. It's smooth, quick and refined, and very enjoyable. It has loads of very helpful high end technology that worked faultlessly. I highly recommend. Had good service from the Ford dealer, too, so all excellent so far.

We are thoroughly impressed with our Mondeo Vignale Estate. It handles well, rides quietly and we have had it for one year and it hasn't given us any problems. We got a ton of money off from the dealer, so it was less to purchase than a BMW or Audi, but we got a lot more options/kit. We also like the look of the car. It's nice to be driving something different. It's at its best when cruising on the highway.

No faults so far - smooth and whisper quiet. The first thing you notice now it's run in is the performance is brisk and it's a great tow car. It pulls well on take off. Great all rounder - buy one you will not be disappointed. Best thing is auto dipping headlights at night. Sony sound system talk commands are good and it has a great digital dash. Dislike lane departure - now turned off.

Mine has had electrical problems almost from the beginning, and the dealer seems to have no idea what the problem is. Nearly 4 years on, the problems are getting worse. The stop / start system isn't working, there are problems with the front screen heater, electric handbrake, engine starting, dashboard and more besides.

Great looking car with loads of space. Solid engine but little under powered. Major let down of this vehicle are the front seats which are the most uncomfortable I have had in any vehicle in the last 25 years of owning vehicles. I got this car as my company car and next 3 years are going to be long and uncomfortable. Please Ford, if aiming cars for business use make them comfy.

We looked at a variety of estates but settled on the Mondeo because it drives so well, is a great value and we got an amazing deal. The car is incredibly refined and quiet on the road. We looked at BMWs and Audis.....but we spent a lot less and are really happy with our Mondeo. When people get into the car...they can't believe it is a Ford.

My Chrome Blue Mondeo is extremely smart with it's red stitched interior with ST badges. And it's not all show and no go either; this car has no problems getting up to speed especially in Sport Mode. My only gripe is that the dashboard is grey and reflects in the windscreen. I've had to fit a dashmat. Otherwise this car is superb.

I have had many Fords, including one each of the last three Mondeo models, and can honestly say this is the most refined yet. It eats motorways, is perfectly happy around town and very good at everything in between. The interior is comfortable, even after a 400 mile trip, and a pleasure to be in. The Sync2 works well, there are plenty of connectivity options, and the hands-free is clear, even at motorway speeds. Even the voice-control system isn't bad. It is also the best looking to date, especially with the body kit and 19" wheels, although I'll grant that's totally subjective. When it comes to performance, it's a little confusing. On paper, it's faster than the 2.2 TDCi I had previously, with 20+ more BHP, and it's definitely no slouch, but it doesn't feel it sometimes. Handling is pretty good, changing direction very well, although it definitely shows it's bulk, and there isn't the traditional feedback from the steering that I expect from a Ford. Every one up to now has been exceptional at communicating what's happening at the front wheels, but it's a little lacking. This model is definitely better suited to long hauls than B-road barn-storming, but it's good enough to stand against most competitors. Ultimately, the test is do I look forward to getting into it, and the answer is always yes, even with a long drive ahead of me.
