Hot car deal: sleek Hyundai Ioniq 6 for £313 a month
Our hot car deal for April 2nd is the stylish Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric saloon for £313 per month
Hyundai isn’t a brand that many would associate with executive cars, but the Ioniq 6 saloon can certainly hold its own against the German establishment. This competitively-priced deal will get you behind the wheel of one of our favourite electric saloon cars, offering an excellent balance of style, technology and value for money.
What’s so good about this Hyundai Ioniq 6 deal?
At the time of writing, this lease deal offered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts is the most affordable way to drive off in a new Hyundai Ioniq 6. It’s a two year deal, with monthly payments of £312.85 – far less than you’d pay for a rival BMW i4 or Tesla Model 3. An upfront payment of £3,754.20 is required, but this can be reduced if you’d rather pay slightly more each month. There’s a mileage limit of 5000 per year, but as with most PCH deals, this can also be increased if you’re willing to pay a bit more. For example, a 10,000-mile per year limit will cost you £346.72 per month with an upfront fee of £4,160.64.
In the world of executive cars, that’s an impressive deal – even more so for an executive EV. Even in entry-level Premium trim – like the car in this deal – you still get a long list of equipment, ranging from a heat pump to LED matrix headlights and dual 12.3-inch screens, while the interior feels polished and suitably upmarket.
Under the skin, the Ioniq 6 shares its cabin and electric architecture with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 hatchback, and that’s no bad thing. While you’ll typically pay less for an Ioniq 5 lease deal, you’ll miss out on the unique, swoopy styling of the Ioniq 6. The streamlined curves do more than just turn heads – they help to increase aerodynamic efficiency, contributing to the Ioniq 6’s respectable 338-mile range.
What’s so good about the Hyundai Ioniq 6?
When it first appeared last year, we thought the Hyundai Ioniq 6 was one of the most exciting new EVs we’d seen in a while. There’s still nothing that looks quite like it; its sleek silhouette stands out from the crowds of SUVs on our roads. The appeal continues inside, too, offering a neat layout that’s easy to use with premium-feeling materials. The Ioniq 5 hatchback offers more space for rear passengers, but that’s the trade-off you make for a coupe-like roofline.
The Ioniq 6 is great to drive, too – with just 225bhp, it’s not particularly fast or sporty, but that’s not really the point. Instead, it's smooth and comfortable, feeling secure through the corners and refined on the motorway. A 77.4kWh battery provides more than enough range for most drivers and, when you do need to top up, a 10-80% recharge can be achieved in just 18 minutes at a rapid charger.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?
This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
