There’s a common misconception that all Jaguar and Land Rover cars are hideously unreliable. However, if recent performances for the brand in our annual Driver Power survey are anything to go by, then things are on the up.

Jaguar finished well within the top third of the table (10th place out of 32 manufacturers in the brand survey), while even Land Rover managed to sneak in at 14th. A high proportion (44%) of Jag owners did experience problems in the first year, but customers still love the way their cars handle, while style, design and quality all ranked highly. Servicing costs were among the very worst in the survey, however.

The F-Pace itself has seen a bit of a fall from grace, coming 50th (out of 75 cars) in the 2023 model rundown – a slip from 19th the previous year. But to finish above its all-electric I-Pace sibling more than seven years since it first launched is no mean feat.

Jaguar F-Pace safety

The Jaguar F-Pace has gone through independent Euro NCAP safety tests and received the full five stars  – albeit more than six years ago when the tests were, admittedly, less stringent. Still, an impressive 93% score for adult occupant protection shouldn’t be scoffed at.

Jaguar fits all examples with autonomous emergency braking and emergency braking assistance, which help you to stop in a hurry or, if it detects you haven't reacted, will brake on your behalf if an obstacle strays into your path. Also included as standard is adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist and a reversing camera, with more features available via an optional Driver Assistance Pack.
