"The Jeep Cherokee is great off-road, comfortable and good-looking, but it can’t beat top rivals as an all-rounder"

Enjoy driving the car....but 3 season tyres sold as standard are terrible with weight of vehicle in just a couple of inches of snow. Makes driving treacherous despite alleged snow setting . Winter tyres a must. And it can't take chains. Parts supply wait times also very bad for recent replacement rear bumper and exhausts after a rear shunt. 6 weeks plus . Now waiting for a replacement sensor....also on back order and no available date of delivery. Definately had enoug of after sale issues. Shame as quite like the car.

After reading various comments I'm a bit puzzled. I've had a few problems with engine temperature sensors but apart from that mine has been brilliant. It's comfortable, especially on the motorway from Birmingham to Brighton – roughly 400 miles there and back only takes half a tank of fuel at 52mpg+.

I bough the car end of September 2015, with full options (excluding heated steering wheel)
Cons:
Dealership:
1-Did not do a proper hand over, they took a week to prepare the car, only to discover i don't have the latest software updates, i am referring to major releases and improvement and not incremental updates
2-Cost of service is significant more expensive than rivals
3-Delays in sorting problems with the car
Manufacturer
1-Europe / UK maps are out of date, at the time they had the 2014 release, which was replaced with the 2016 in April this year, software was not provided free of charge
2-TMS - with the factory fitted it does not exist, with the recent upgrade, major situation it does not detect traffic work, only accidents, auto divert does not work
3-TPS Sensors: first problem appeared within 2 month of purchasing and driving the car, which sorted itself out, a year later, 3 sensors became faulty. replacement and obtaining the parts was smooth
4-Disel engine noise is loud on 2.2 Multijet
5-Digital Radio has a lot of black spots, and does not switch automatically to FM or vise versa
6-Forward Collision System has a brain of its own at times.
Front Screen Replacement
1-When replaced front windscreen, re calibration of forward collision system is required at the dealership, windscreen provider were a bit funny about it as they did not want to pay for it, although it was covered by the insurance, and they did not advice re calibration might be required, as they are disabling a safety feature of the car
Pros:
1-I have the car on 0% finance PCP
2-Excellent customer support (based in Italy)
3-Decent storage space
4-All options (parking assist, lane departure, technology pack and panoramic roof) kids enjoy the view
5-I changed 1 set of front wheel tires at 20,000, Michelin Primacy does the job
6-All terrain car (within reason)
I have Driven Renegade Limited, Cherokee Limited, and Grand Cherokee Limited trim, my favorite is Cherokee Limited at this stage.
40% Depreciation, 1 year of ownership, 20,000 Miles, (for trade in with other manufacturers or with the dealership)
