Kia Stonic owner reviews
“The Kia Stonic is competent rather than compelling and it’s hard to justify paying the extra over the Kia Rio on which it’s based”

Very good so far. Reliable and good fuel consumption. Interior quality is not premium but doesn't feel too bad either if you go for the better trim level (you have heated leather seats/steering wheel/gear changer, you have Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch touchscreen and all kinds of security and safety features). Doesn't feel like a crossover or anything other than a hatchback, but if you want something very reliable and on the cheaper side, while also having a decent ground clearance, and packed with goodies, you won't find anything better.

Nice little car to drive. Comfortable, nice looking, cheap to run and I can manage nearly 60 mpg on a motorway run.
What's the one thing you like most about your car?
Reliability & economy.
If you could improve one thing, what would it be?
More "bells & whistles" as standard. I wish I'd got the GT line.

I love this car. Both sporty and nimble with an impressive spec list and awesome MPG. Oh and that 7yr warranty! Two tone paintwork looks smart (White with black roof). The driving style does need getting used to, both the slightly noisy revving from the three-cylinder engine and the 'sailing' (this is when the car automatically cuts the engine so you coast when you take your foot off the gas. However this can be off-putting when you are slowing to a junction and the car suddenly coasts so no automatic braking from the engine, but great on those flat stretches of road to boost MPG greatly). Back seats and boot not the biggest but front seats very supportive.

If you could improve one thing, what would it be?
My gearbox. I did have trouble with a leaky slave cylinder when car only weeks old and I think its never quite been as good as it should have been (reviews mostly state smooth gear change)

Generally im very happy with my car. Key things are the 7-year warranty, fuel economy and spec. I did have a few rattles inside and out and had to locate and put some foam on but other then that so far the car is great.
Its nippy, 10 seconds 0-60mph not fast, granted, but enough for every day driving and eco. The Sport mode does tighten things up and make it fun to drive. The mild hybrid motor makes it quick off the line and rapid up to 30mph.
I drive 135 miles a day, 20 miles of that in the city and average at least 50mpg! Quite incredible for petrol as far as i'm concerned. The car's lane assist systems are amazing!
What's the one thing you like most about your car?
GT Line S spec is great!
If you could improve one thing, what would it be?
A little more power
