New Lexus LC Coupe Black Inspiration edition unveiled
The Japanese luxury brand introduces a special version of its flagship LC Coupe with a black theme
- Graphite Black paint finish
- Extra standard equipment
- On sale from 1 November
Lexus has announced a ‘Black Inspiration’ edition of their flagship Lexus LC Coupe, which, as the name suggests, features a black styling pack. Graphite Black paint is complemented by a new black front grille, as well as tinted rear lights. Prices for the Black Inspiration model are due to be announced when the car goes on sale on 1 November.
Lexus has also given the LC Black Inspiration a sportier look. The special edition is adorned with a subtle lip spoiler, new black 21-inch alloy wheels and a lightweight carbon-fibre roof. It also benefits from a limited-slip differential, rear-wheel steering and adaptive suspension to improve handling.
The interior features bronze accents to break up the black theme but otherwise the inside of the Black Inspiration model meets what we’ve come to expect of the LC; the materials are of high quality and there are 10-way adjustable semi-aniline leather seats, a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system and a heads up display as standard.
Lexus is also equipping the car with its Safety System+. This includes automatic pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, automatic high beams and dynamic radar cruise control, which automatically maintains a safe distance from the car in front.
As with existing versions of the LC, you have two choices of engines: a more efficient but less powerful V6 hybrid with 356bhp or a glorious but thirsty 5.0-litre V8 with 467bhp. The latter makes the LC direct competition for the V8 version of the Jaguar F-Type.
