SEAT Leon now with LED headlights as standard
The award-winning SEAT Leon hatchback now includes the desirable Tech Pack as standard
The SEAT Leon family hatchback is now available with the desirable Technology Pack as standard – including features such as full-LED headlights, sat-nav and DAB radio.
Our sister site, Auto Express, awarded the SEAT Leon with its coveted Car of the Year 2013 prize, and now it’s better value than ever. The additional equipment represents a saving of £1,915 if you were to spec the three items separately, and is available on all new Leon SE and FR models until the end of September 2013. The basic Leon S model is not available with LED headlights.
This means that all SE and FR models come with an upgraded touchscreen sat-nav, with an integrated proximity sensor that hides its buttons when they’re not needed. The DAB radio is also controlled via the clever infotainment display.
The SEAT Leon is currently the only family hatchback in the world available with full-LED headlights. SEAT claims that the set-up provides a clearer light than traditional halogen or xenon headlights, and uses less power (and less fuel) in the process.
In addition to the extra equipment, SEAT has also announced a series of attractive finance offers for the Leon. Buy any new Leon on Hire Purchase and you’ll benefit from 0 per cent APR, while dealers are offering £1,000 deposit contributions on all cars bought on a PCP over 36 months. APR for this deal is fixed at 4.9 per cent.
This means you can get a three-door SEAT Leon SC SE, complete with Tech Pack and LED headlights, for as little as £165 per month. Standard equipment on all models also includes alloy wheels, air-conditioning, cruise control, as well as a leather steering wheel and gearknob.
Prices start at £15,370 for the basic SEAT Leon SC in S specification, with the 1.2-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. The top-of-the-range SEAT Leon FR with the 181bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine costs from £22,375 and comes with a six-speed manual gearbox.
