New Mercedes S-Class Coupe revealed
A stylish Mercedes S-Class Coupe has been unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show
A sleek new Mercedes S-Class coupe has been revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013, a concept that previews an upcoming Mercedes coupe that will replace the CL-Class coupe from 2014.
The new Mercedes coupe is due in the middle of 2014, and prices will start at around £75,000. The car comes with a wide range of hi-tech equipment taken from the Mercedes S-Class saloon, and is powered by the S500’s 4.7-litre V8 petrol engine with 449bhp.

While this car is only a concept at Frankfurt, a production version of the upcoming Mercedes coupe will be shown next year at the Geneva Motor Show in March. This concept also shows that the car will use the sporty-looking grille from Mercedes’ other models with a large badge. The rear of the car looks like the Mercedes SLS supercar, with wrap-around taillights and a high boot lid.
Inside the Mercedes S-Class coupe are the large display screens from the S-Class saloon, with a new touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard. The car comes with a wide range of safety equipment as well, including a system that monitors the road ahead and prepares the safety systems accordingly.
The Magic Body Control system is also present on the S-Class Coupe, which looks at the road ahead with a camera and sets the suspension up to make sure the car glides smoothly over any lumps and bumps in the road. The car will also get a new nine-speed automatic gearbox to make the driving experience even more relaxing.
