Kia Sorento deals: Car deal of the week
Get £2,000 off the price of a brand new Kia Sorento SUV
You can now get £2,000 off the entire Kia Sorento SUV range – making the large 4x4 better value than ever before.
The new 2013 Sorento now starts from £24,695 for the entry-level KX-1 specification with the 2.2-litre diesel engine. All models come with four-wheel drive and updated styling – including revised bumpers and new headlights. The interior uses high-quality materials, and a seven-inch colour display, while a panoramic sunroof can be specified, too.
Standard equipment across the range includes 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and LED daytime running lights. Inside, there’s a leather-trimmed steering wheel, chrome detailing and separate climate control settings for the driver and passenger. Upgrade to a mid-spec KX-2 and you’ll add heated leather seats, all-round electric windows, and even the option of an integrated touch screen sat-nav. All Kia Sorentos come with seven seats as standard.
There’s only one engine to choose from – a 194bhp 2.2-litre diesel – while all specifications can be ordered with a six-speed automatic gearbox. The manual car will manage fuel economy of 47.9mpg, which is impressive given its size, while the automatic is slightly more expensive to run, getting around 42.2mpg. CO2 emissions stand at 155g/km for the manual and 175g/km for the automatic.
The base-spec car is undeniably the best-value model in the range. The mid-spec KX-2 model costs from £29,095, while the top KX-3 model starts at a whopping £35,295. That’s more than a top-of-the-range BMW X3 xDrive 20d M Sport, which is not only faster, but cheaper to run, too.
However, stick with the entry-level KX-1, which gets more than enough standard equipment for most buyers, and you’ll have a dependable, rugged and reliable 4x4 with enough room for the whole family.
