New look for 2015 Kia Venga
The Kia Venga mini-MPV features revised styling and a new top-of-the-range model
The Kia Venga mini-MPV has been restyled for 2015, and now features more equipment plus a new range-topping version.
The facelifted Kia Venga, which was shown at the Paris Motor Show last year, has new front and rear ends aimed at giving the small MPV a more sporty look. It features a new front bumper and a revised grille, while higher-spec models carry LED daytime running light strips plus additional chrome trim.
All models, with the exception of the entry-level version, have alloy wheels and a choice of two new colours – Planet Blue and Dark Gun Metal (pictured), which replace the old Space Blue and Sirius Silver paint options.
Interior upgrades include new upholstery and dashboard trims. A tyre-pressure monitoring system is now standard across the range, along with driver’s seat height adjustment, a steering wheel that adjusts for reach and height and electric door mirrors.
Venga 2 models include alloy wheels, an iPod cable, Bluetooth phone connectivity, rear electric windows, folding door mirrors and rear parking sensors. Venga 3 models feature climate control, front foglamps and cruise control with a speed limiter.
Venga 3 and Venga 4 trims – the latter a new addition to the range – have automatic headlights, heated front seats and a touchscreen sat-nav that incorporates a rear parking camera. The new infotainment system replaces the CD player with a setup featuring MP3 player and USB sockets.
The Venga 4 also has a heated steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof.
All models in the Venga range have six airbags, whiplash-reducing active headrests and two ISOFIX child-seat mounting points. The range also benefits from Kia's industry-leading seven-year/100,000 mile warranty.
The engine range is unchanged, meaning the 2015 Kia Venga is powered by a choice of 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. Kia claims fuel consumption as low as 64.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 117g/km. Manual gearboxes are fitted across the range, but the 1.6-litre petrol engine is available with a four-speed automatic on all but the entry-level model.
The new Kia Venga has been launched alongside a revised version of the Kia Rio supermini.
