Skoda Citigo facelift: prices and specs
Updated hatch gets new bonnet, bumpers and grille, prices start at £8,635
The 2017 Skoda Citigo has gained subtly revised exterior styling and a new instrument cluster as part of a mid-life refresh, and the updated car is available to order now.
Although the changes are minor, the 2017 Citigo sports a new bonnet, which features the same ridges as other Skoda models, plus a redesigned radiator grille and new bumpers.
The headlights have LED daytime running lights and there’s an optional cornering light function available. This is designed to enable better illumination on junctions with poor visibility by automatically switching on the left or right front foglight when turning. It works at speeds of up to 25mph.
SE models have tinted rear lights and there’s a new silver and anthracite finish available for the 15-inch alloy wheels fitted to SE L trim models. The Colour Edition offers buyers the choice of white or black contrasting colours for the roof and wing mirrors.
The latest Skoda Citigo features a new instrument cluster with redesigned speedometer, rev counter and fuel gauge available in two different versions. New versions of the Blues and Swing stereos are available, providing a range of connectivity options. The Swing radio has a colour display, six speakers and Bluetooth.
By installing the Move&Fun app, Apple and Android smartphones can be used as a trip computer and sat nav for the car. It also has a GreenDrive feature that promotes efficient driving.
The changes aren’t as extensive as those made to the 2017 Volkswagen Up! For that model, buyers can choose an excellent new 89bhp 1.0-litre TSI engine. The Citigo’s engine range is unchanged.
