Renault Kadjar special edition adds value to SUV
Renault Kadjar Dynamique SE Nav starts from £23,620
Renault has broadened the appeal of its Kadjar SUV with the launch of a limited-edition Dynamique SE Nav trim level, packed with equipment to offer an effective saving of £475.
The Kadjar, Renault's rival to popular compact SUVs such as the Nissan Qashqai, Ford Kuga, Peugeot 3008, SEAT Ateca and Volkswagen Tiguan, starts at £19,785 in entry-level Expression+ trim, but this latest addition to the range sits a little further up the hierarchy, between the Dynamique S Nav and flagship Signature Nav.
Available with a choice of 128bhp petrol TCe 130 or 109bhp diesel dCi 110 engines, the Dynamique SE Nav adds 19-inch, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a fixed panoramic sunroof and side steps. Inside, there's an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and reversing cameras. Renault claims that adding these features to a Dynamique S would cost £475 more than the Dynamique SE's price.
As well as these extras, the car comes with Renault's 'Visio' safety system that incorporates auto-dipping headlights, lane-departure warning and traffic-sign recognition, as well as TomTom navigation with live traffic reporting – a feature of the R-Link 2 infotainment system. Passenger comfort is enhanced by dual-zone climate control, part-leather upholstery and dark-tinted rear and tailgate windows. A leather-trimmed steering wheel completes the interior ambience.
The Renault Kadjar Dynamique SE is available to order now, with customer deliveries expected to begin in May. The TCe 130 petrol costs £23,620 (or £24,820 with an EDC automatic gearbox), the dCi 110 diesel costs £25,520 as a manual or £26,720 as an automatic.
