New range-topping Audi A6 Black Edition announced
Stealthy styling and larger alloy wheels for the A6 Saloon and Avant
The Audi A6 has become the latest model to get Audi’s Black Edition treatment. Bringing revised styling and extra tech, this new A6 trim level can be specced on both the Saloon or Avant (estate) variants. The range-topping Black Edition models are available to order now, with prices starting at £44,635.
The A6 Black Edition trim is based on the S-Line specification but adds a black finish to the radiator grille, air intakes, door mirror housings, rear diffuser and the roof rails on the estate model. Matt titanium 20-inch alloy wheels are fitted instead of the 19-inch alloys on the A6 S line.

A stiffer sports suspension with a lowered ride height now comes as standard, as do Matrix LED headlights that can divert their beams around cars ahead of you, as well as oncoming traffic.
Inside, the A6 Black Edition has sports seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara, a leather trimmed multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles, aluminium interior accents, a seven-inch dash binnacle information screen and twin dash-mounted touch screens measuring 8.8 inches and 8.6 inches that control the cars functions, including the infotainment and sat nav.
This interior tech can be enhanced with Audi’s Technology package, which includes an upgraded sat-nav system with enhanced voice recognition, Google Earth mapping, a larger 10.1-inch main infotainment screen, wireless phone charging and Audi’s virtual cockpit digital dial cluster.
Other optional interior upgrades available for the A6 Black Edition include acoustic glazing and a 1,920-watt Bang & Olufsen stereo system. Optional safety systems are available too, with the Tour and City Assist packs offering systems such as adaptive cruise control, side assist and traffic sign recognition.
The Black Edition trim level can be specced across all of the engine options in the current A6 range, including the 40 and 45 TFSI four-cylinder petrol models and the 50 and 55 TDI six-cylinder diesels.
