Citroen C3 Aircross range updated
Citroen C3 Aircross compact SUV is the latest Citroen model to be updated for 2020
The Citroen C3 Aircross is the latest Citroen model to be updated for 2020. The changes include new equipment and upgrades to efficiency, comfort and colour options. Similar changes to the C3 and C4 Cactus model ranges have already been announced.
The range updates are partly due to the popularity of Citroen’s top-spec models; since January, 75% of UK buyers have ordered the C3 Aircross in top-level ‘Flair’ trim. The October revisions see this trim level incorporate the ‘Urban Red’ styling pack as standard, which includes red styling details for the interior. The Flair model also gets ergonomic upgrades such as a folding driver’s armrest and seat back pockets.
New and exclusive to this trim level is the 1.2-litre PureTech 130 petrol engine paired to an automatic gearbox. The engine meets the regulations set for 2021, complying with ‘Real Driving Emissions Step 2’ (RDE2).
Three new metallic colour choices are available on the C3 Aircross, namely Pepper Red, Cumulus Grey and Perla Nera Black, bringing the total choice of colours in the range to eight. Buyers can choose from a number of customisation options, including bi-tone roof design and colour options for the roof bars, fog light surrounds and rear quarter windows.
All trims including the two lower trim levels, called ‘Feel’ an ‘Origins’, are now fitted with new ‘A-Class’ low rolling resistance tyres to make them more efficient. Every C3 Aircross comes with active safety features that include Lane Departure Warning and Speed Limit Recognition.
Buyers of the C3 Aircross with a petrol engine and manual gearbox can choose from Feel, Origins and Flair trims from £18,225, £19,724 and £20,480 respectively. Diesel buyers can have either the entry-level Feel for £19,065 or the Flair from £21,320. Citroen’s 1.2-litre PureTech 130 petrol engine paired with an automatic gearbox is only available in the Flair model, which starts at £22,080. Order books are open now, with first deliveries beginning in October 2019.
