Volkswagen Touareg deals: Car deal of the week
You can now get £5,000 off a new Volkswagen Touareg SUV
Volkswagen is offering up to £5,000 off the entire Touareg range, excluding only Altitude models. Prices now start from £38,160 for the entry-level SE spec and rise to £56,040 for the range-topping R-Line 4.2-litre V8 model.
Standard equipment on all models includes leather upholstery, alloy wheels, climate control, cruise control, heated seats, DAB radio and parking sensors. The Volkswagen Touareg car deal is only available until 31 October.
There’s plenty to like about the Volkswagen Touareg – it’s a smart-looking SUV with a luxurious interior, but even underneath all that there lies the mechanical ability to take on some serious off-road challenges.

Despite having bigger dimensions than the previous version, it’s also much lighter, so fuel economy is vastly improved. However the size of the Touareg doesn’t make it intimidating to drive, thanks to the high driving position and good visibility.
The 2010 update focused on comfort, so the Touareg features comfortable leather seats and loads more space, so there’s no chance of being squashed up next to your fellow passengers on long journeys. The middle seat, however, is probably best left for short journeys only as there’s nowhere to put your feet.
Volkswagen is known for producing consistently reliable and high-quality vehicles, and while the Touareg still hasn’t been crash tested by Euro NCAP, it comes with nine airbags, including front, side, and curtain as standard.
While the Touareg is clearly spacious, it also uses this space as much as possible. There’s a sliding back seat that has a tilting backrest, so passengers can have a little extra legroom or the boot space can be increased. There’s 490 litres of boot space when the back seats are in place, which swells to 1,642 litres when the seats are folded down.
