Frankfurt Debut for Subaru XV crossover
The Subaru XV crossover SUV is officially unveiled at this week's Frankfurt Motor Show.
The wraps are finally off the Subaru XV crossover, as it makes its debut this week at Frankfurt. The XV will join the highly competitive compact SUV sector taking on the Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Yeti.
The four-wheeld drive XV comes with three different flat-four-cylinder engines including a new 112bhp 1.6-litre petrol, a 2.0-litre petrol and the firm’s existing 2.0-litre diesel boxer unit.
Subaru claim the new 1.6 petrol is capable of 44.8mpg, the 2.0 petrol delivers 148bhp and 42.8mpg, while the 145bhp diesel gives 50.4mpg. Stop/start will be offered on all new XV models.
In addition to the new engine, a new Lineartronic auto transmission which optimises efficiency will be offered as well as both five and six speed manual gearboxes.
On the inside, a multi-function display is fitted as standard with an optional 4.3-inch LCD infotainment system available on all models.
Safety features include VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control)- which includes Brake Assist and in the event of an accident driver, passenger, side, curtain and driver's knee airbags are installed on all models.
