Lexus RX 450h receives update
The updated Lexus RX 450h includes new F Sport model.
The Lexus RX 450h SUV has received a styling update, featuring a new ‘spindle’ grille and higher levels of standard specification.
The new grille design is taken from the new Lexus GS saloon, while at the rear, re-designed tail-lights separate the new model.
On the inside, a new steering wheel features a selector switch for the hybrid system’s drive modes, and some of the controls have been re-designed in order to improve ergonomics.
The entry-level SE model comes with LED daytime running lights and perforated leather seats, while Luxury trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels and an upgraded stereo with DVD player. The top-spec Premier model also includes a sunroof and a head-up display.
In addition, all RX 450h models are now fitted with a Lexus Hybrid Drive Sport mode, providing a more responsive driving experience. When shifting into Sport mode, the ambient lighting inside the instrument panel turns red.
The RX 450h F Sport is based on Luxury trim but gets a larger more vertical front bumper with a new type of mesh fitted to the upper and lower grilles. It also comes with larger, dark-finish 19-inch alloy wheels and F Sport badging.
The interior is also fitted with F Sport leather seats, a special leather steering wheel plus aluminium-effect sport pedals and trim inserts. Standard equipment also includes a head-up display and LED headlights. Prices start from £51,995.
The updated Lexus RX450h is on sale now, priced from £44,495.
