The new Peugeot 208 GTi will be powered by a 197bhp 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine, which will propel the car from 0-62mph in less than seven seconds. The GTi will have sportier steering and suspension, will be 10mm wider at the front and 20mm wider at the rear and come fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox and a model-specific new front bumper and grille. The iconic GTi badge will be placed on the C-pillar on the side, mimicking the 205 GTi.
The interior will sport black leather-and-cloth seats with red stitching, and all door trims and dashboard dials with also be finished in black and red.
The new Peugeot 208 GTi will be available to buy from spring next year and cost around £18,000.
