Today’s hot car deal: An automatic Nissan Qashqai SUV for just £201 per month

The Nissan Qashqai is one of the UK’s favourite new cars and rightly so – it’s a great looking and spacious family SUV, built in Britain and easy to live with. We’ve seen a fair few Qashqai deals around, but this is for an automatic version that normally whacks the price up. Not this time, it seems.

What’s so good about this Nissan Qashqai automatic deal? 

It’s rare to see such a great deal on a great automatic car. More and more people are switching to autos, but normally when it comes to lease deals you can be disappointed when you look for an auto. Not with this deal from DreamLease - this is a really nicely equipped Acenta Premium model with the mild-hybrid 156bhp 1.3-litre engine with the all-important Xtronic automatic gearbox. 

Acenta Premium gets you 17-inch alloys, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Nissan’s Intelligent Key for added convenience and a host of driver safety and assistance systems. What’s more, with the Xtronic gearbox, Nissan still claims a decent average economy figure of 44.9mpg. 

This deal lets you cover up 6,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £2,412 (plus an arrangement fee of £234), then 24 monthly payments of £201. Up the mileage to 10,000 a year and the initial payment rises to £2,702 plus the arrangement fee, with the monthly payments still a very reasonable £225.20.

This is a car that retails for over £32,000 and if you were buying it on Nissan’s Preferences PCP deal with a similar deposit (plus a £1,500 deposit contribution from Nissan) over two years at 6,000 miles a year, you’d be paying £507 per month - you’d have to pay £19,023 to own the car at the end of that deal, or you can just hand it back as you do with a lease deal.

What’s so good about the Nissan Qashqai?

The Qashqai was the car that kicked off the family SUV revolution and the new model offers more of what made the car famous: stylish looks, great practicality, excellent build quality and reasonable running costs.

The latest car has had a big infotainment upgrade and remains as easy to live with as the previous generations - it’s an easy car to drive with a practical, well thought-out interior and loads of space for all the family.

It comes with an excellent safety rating and all the driver assistance features you’ll need - plus a fair amount of luxury kit, too.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?

This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
