Hot car deal: under £7 a day for a Nissan Qashqai hybrid
Our hot car deal for 24th June is a family favourite; the Nissan Qashqai SUV for £209 per month
The Nissan Qashqai family SUV has enjoyed much sales success in the UK; top of the sales charts in 2022, it achieved second spot overall in 2023, and currently sits in third position so far this year – just behind the excellent Kia Sportage and Ford Puma.
Nissan is taking nothing for granted, however, and has recently introduced a facelifted Qashqai model in an attempt to keep things fresh. Building on its core abilities of being easy to drive, practical and efficient, it now features sharper looks, improved onboard technology and a higher quality cabin, although it's by no means a class leader. The Qashqai’s real strength is in its breadth of ability – a jack of all trades that endears itself to family buyers by taking care of all the important stuff that makes life on the road that little bit easier.
What’s so good about this Nissan Qashqai deal?
This two-year deal from Xcite Car Leasing lets you cover up to 5,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £2,508.05, then monthly payments of £209.00. There is flexibility to either extend the length of the agreement or adjust the annual mileage, but you will pay more for the privilege. For example, increasing the agreed mileage to 10,000 miles per year means you’ll pay £239.92 every month, with a few hundred pounds added to the initial deposit amount.
Offered in N-Connecta specification, this particular Qashqai model includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, intelligent cruise control, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. You even get a glass roof with this deal – normally a £650 option – although you can save yourself £5 a month if you’d rather stick with the regular tin top.
Nissan’s unorthodox 1.5-litre e-Power unit also features, using a front driven electric motor and the 1.5-litre petrol engine under the bonnet to charge a small 2.1kWh battery that feeds the e-motor to drive the wheels. Total output is 187bhp, with claimed average fuel economy of 54.3mpg.
What’s so good about the Nissan Qashqai?
The Qashqai is a very good all-rounder that delivers competently across a number of key areas. The recent exterior refresh has smartened things up just enough, while the upgrade in interior quality and onboard tech is a welcome move. At just a touch over £200 per month, the Qashqai could easily become a firm family friend.
