Hot car deal: trendy Polestar 2 for £320 a month
Our hot car deal for March 25th is Sweden’s executive EV, the Polestar 2 for £320 per month
Electric family cars are a dime a dozen in today’s car market, but few turn heads quite like the Polestar 2. With a high-quality cabin, impressive EV technology and a healthy dose of Scandinavian style, it’ll make you think twice about that Tesla Model 3 – especially at this price.
What’s so good about this Polestar 2 deal?
This leasing deal offered by UK Car Line lasts for three years, with monthly payments of £320.16. An upfront fee of £3,841.92 is required, although this can be reduced if you’re willing to pay slightly more each month. That monthly figure comes with a mileage limit of 5,000 per year, but as with many of these deals, this can be increased by paying more each month and upfront. Doubling the mileage limit to 10,000 will increase the monthly payments by around £30 per month, while you’ll need to hand over an additional £364 to begin with.
While those figures certainly aren’t cheap, it’s a very competitive offer for such a high-quality electric car. Even though the Polestar 2 in this deal is the entry-level Standard Range Single Motor model, it has more than enough performance and range for most drivers. The official range figure stands at 339 miles, while 0-62mph is dealt with in 6.2 seconds – both within the same ballpark as its biggest rival, the Tesla Model 3.
Speaking of the American EV, you’ll be paying far more for the Tesla than you will for this Polestar deal. In fact, we struggled to find an equivalent Tesla Model 3 offer for under £500 per month, which puts this Polestar deal into clear perspective. Side-by-side, the Polestar feels like the more premium of the two cars, as well, with an ergonomic cabin that’s streets ahead in terms of fit and finish.
What’s so good about the Polestar 2?
Although a newcomer to the car market, Polestar has built an excellent reputation for quality, technology and style – three traits that are on clear display in the Polestar 2. Combining hatchback practicality with a classy saloon silhouette, it appeals to both family and executive buyers alike, wrapping five seats and 440 litres of boot space into a package that still looks futuristic four years after its debut.
On the road, the Polestar 2 delivers a fun driving experience – including in entry-level 268bhp guise – helped by an excellent driving position and an ideal 50:50 weight distribution. The firm suspension won’t be for everyone, but even those stepping out of far more expensive machinery will be impressed by the premium interior and excellent infotainment system. Throw in a range of up to 339 miles and you’ve got a very competitive EV.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?
This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the three-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
