Hot car deal: hybrid Renault Clio for £202 a month
Our hot car deal for February 15th is the ultra-efficient Renault Clio E-Tech for £202 a month
There are plenty of superminis to choose from in 2024, but few are as efficient, spacious and fun to drive as the Renault Clio. The French run-around has remained a bastion of affordable motoring since its debut in 1990, and the latest model builds upon this principle by bringing hybrid technology to the masses at a wallet-friendly price.
What’s so good about this Renault Clio deal?
This deal can be found at expressvehiclecontracts.co.uk and is one of the most affordable ways to get behind the wheel of a full-hybrid car. While lesser Clios are fitted with an 89bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine, the model in this deal comes with the clever E-Tech hybrid system. Not only is it more powerful and more efficient, with a claimed 67.3mpg possible, it comes with an automatic gearbox as standard, allowing for relaxing, clutch pedal-free driving around town.
The deal allows for up to 5,000 miles per year and requires an upfront payment of £1,212.06, followed by 23 monthly payments of £202.01. Doubling that annual mileage figure will cost around £17 more per month, plus an additional £100 towards the upfront payment – still reasonable for those who plan on covering big distances. Of course, the upfront payment can be adjusted to increase or decrease the monthly payments.
However you slice it, you’re unlikely to find a more affordable deal for a full-hybrid car. You’ll be paying more for a similar Toyota Yaris hybrid and we think the Clio E-Tech is the better of the two cars.
What’s so good about the Renault Clio?
There’s a reason why the Renault Clio is one of the most popular superminis in Europe. The latest generation punches above its weight in many key areas, from a spacious and well equipped interior, to its sophisticated hybrid system. The latter allows you to drive up to 40mph on pure electric power, making city driving both smooth and quiet. It's equally at home on a motorway, too, feeling settled and offering great visibility. The hybrid variant gets a marginally smaller boot than the petrol model, but we think that's a price worth paying for the added efficiency and refinement.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?
This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
